-- No big news from the UFC press conference this afternoon except it was among the more amusing in UFC history. There was a great moment when he told Ariel Helwani that in the last election he ran in he got 99.6% of the vote, and Ariel said, "Wasn't that the election where you ran unopposed?" On the Jim Rome Show today he was asked about his controversial comments about Lance Armstrong (see yesterday's update) and he claimed he never said any of that and had spoke to Lance denying everything. So Rome said, well, I've got an audio recording of it right here. He played it and then Chael calmly said, "Jim, that doesn't sound anything like me." He said the callers should call in and tell them if that sounded like him. "Sounds like a guy with a Hispanic accent to me." From talking to people there who have spoken to him the feeling is that he is 100% working all of this with the pro-wrestling schtick, but that it has really gotten under Anderson's skin and Anderson is going to try to kill him.
