Oakland is a dump, only the Warriors fans go there, they have a very loyal fan base

I believe the UFC went over the comp ticket maxium for this event, they had trouble sellling tickets as usual

I believe the live gate was 1.5 million, one of there lowest for a PPV event

How did Lesnar do before he went to the UFC?

There is no evidence that anyone can draw without the UFC brand name and there hype machine

Both of those guys listed can't even sell a PPV with there personality, Brock has no desire to do it and GSP can't sell without someone doing the hype for him

The UFC doesnt create stars, they create stars for the UFC, but the UFC is still the star, not the fighter

You say Gina is a star because she's done 2 or 3 very good ratings on CBS or Showtime and b/c they did more tickets with her in the main than 117.

Obviously, she and Herschel are the only two Strikeforce fighters with mainstream drawing cred....but we don't know how she would do on PPV.

Meanwhile, Brock & GSP have done tremendous PPV numbers, some of the best in the history of the sport.

If it was strictly the UFC name, then there would be tons of other fighters drawing 1 million plus buyrates.
