Hockey Streaming Site

So I've been looking for something that will stream me more games this year. I was planning on going the nhlnetwork route and doing the stream plus have it on my tv route. Problem is its fairly expensive ($30 a month).

100 bucks for the whole year for the hd package $70 for the non HD.

Has anyone used this?

I was about to pull the trigger on Gamecenter but it appears nhl.com doesn't offer it anymore.

Gamecenter is only useful if you live out of market. One thing that pissed me off about Gamecenter was that you wouldn't know which feed you were going to get.

If you are a Rangers fan for example, you won't get their home feeds when they play at home, you will watch for example the Devils feed if they are playing the Devils at MGS. Which is absolutely retarded.......I don't know why they don't have it like MLB. You get streams from both teams to watch and radio streams too.

So many times I got bored with watching Flyers games because I had to listen to retarded ass announcers of other teams. And in hockey the homerism is worse than any sport, so you just get mad listening to the other teams idiotic commentators.

I just paid for Gamecenter on nhl.com. It's pretty good actually. Got the discounted price which is wicked and the streams i've watched are insanely good. Also, you get to pick the stream you want to watch from whichever preffered broadcast you wish you watch.

If it's NYR Vs NYI, you can pick the Isles broadcast (kinda sucked) or the Rangers HD broadcast (kinda rocked).

Oh ok, so they finally have that in........I just might splurge. Want to watch the Flyers take on the Rangers tonight

Tried Gamecenter Live last night = Fail. The feed was choppy as shit, and the stream was HD maybe 10% of the game.

Gonna give Hockey Streams a try tonight. Hopefully the streams are smoother and have HD. I do like that they don't have any black out issues to deal with like Gamecenter.

Ok so Hockeystreams was ok as a service. The streams weren't bad, but not that much more improved than NHL Gamecenter live.

But they released the NHL Gamcenter Live app for the PS3 last night, and it was outstanding. Its a lot more easier to watch the games, the games comes through in HD almost the entire time too. They have archive games from the previous season and current season, so you can go back and watch. The time bar for the stream indicate when a goal was scored, so you can skip to that in confidence if you don't want to watch the game.

You can download the app from the media section of the PSN store.

This is definitely kick ass so far, I will try it out over the next few days and let everyone know if its worth investing in.

Ok so after having it through the weekend, the app is tits! I watched some games on Friday night, and the Flyers on Saturday in full HD. Then yesterday I tuned in for the Cap-Flames game, and it was outstanding yet again.

One weird thing about the Flyers game on Saturday was that I only got the Panthers TV-Feed, I don't think it was anything to do with the app, but GameCenter itself.

Anyway, if you have the PS3 and GameCenter Live, grab this app, worth the $10 for sure.
