Just saw an interview with Forrest Griffin.. this guy seems like a completely different person post Anderson. The dry humour is still there.. but his confidence seems really shot. When asked if he is going to fight Bones Jones he replied "hopefully not" and went on to say hes the real deal. This guy fears Bones Jones now? The old Forrest feared noone. He also said "a real man would've stepped up and fought Lil Nog" and that he regrets backing out. This dude really seems different. Shame if Anderson really did change his guys mentality.
Has Forest Griffin lost his confidence?

Griffin has always been loopy but confidence has never been an issue. And he didnt seem to be joking about it, either.Comment

Getting your ass handed to you on platinum platter like he did against Silva will do that to your self-esteem.
Silva did him fucking dirty.

Thats the most humiliating beating in MMA history. Even Silva/Sakuraba wasnt as embarrasing.
He definitely hasnt been the same. He has a book out so assuming he spent time on that. Maybe his focus is awry or maybe hes peaked and is self aware.
Cant see him beating Machida/Jones/Evans/Rua in his present state. Rampage maybe just because there both slow.Best reason to have a license.

Forrest needs to step away from the top of the division and step away from being somebody's stepping stone (Bones, for example), and just go fight somebody that is on his level to get some confidence back.
Putting a lackadaisical Forrest out there is just akin for bad things to happen to the poor guy.Comment
