I think Barnett and Reem should enter a contest to see who can take the most roids before their heart gives out.

Sign me up as a person who wants to see either Fedor vs Werdum or Fedor vs Silva.

lol @ everyone jumping on The Reem for steroids

Overeem has never tested positive or been linked to steroids, unlike Carwin, Brock, Sonnen, Nate, Leben, Sherk, etc...

To funny, Warner is the funniest of all always bringing up Steroids and Overeem in the same sentence

umm, because he is the only guy you do it to, he has never tested positive, ever

guys you like have been linked or busted for roids, plus you know sports, I'm sure you're not a naive fan and think these guys are clean, so why would you keep brining it up with Overeem and no one else?

None of these fuckers are clean, of course I know that.

At this point, I don't really believe that anyone is 100% absolutely "no chance they would roid" clean. The guys who have been nailed for it aren't the "dirty ones"... to me, they're the stupid ones who managed to get caught.

Its easy to point out Reem because no one else in the sports has gone from Bruce Banner to The Incredible Hulk as much as he has in 5 years.

I don't think the majority of MMA fighters are on roids. If they were we wouldn't see so many guys gassing 2 minutes into a fight. MMA seems like a relatively clean sport to me, reason being is technique is key. It's not like the NFL or MLB, where having more strength or athletic ability means you're shedding blocks or knocking HRs left and right all of a sudden. You can be the strongest, most athletic guy in MMA and still suck.

Actually, I think the effect of steroid use in MMA is almost the same as it is in football, baseball, etc. All of them are still about the athleticism, skill and technique first and foremost. Steroids don't give the hand-eye coordination and swing it takes to be a MLB level hitter, not do they teach you how to shed a block or run a proper route. Steroids are the edge, that adds to the skill and technique and athleticism already present. Its what takes a hitter from 20 HRs in a season to 40... not takes a high school level hitter to the bigs. It what could give a fighter the bit extra strength and quickness it takes to be a champion as opposed to just another good fighter.

As for stamina, I don't think that matters. On juice or not, stamina is going to depend on whether you put in the work in the gym to build your stamina.

I honestly don't know how clean the sport is. Even those in the sport seem to disagree on how "dirty" it is. But any time you combine athletics with big money, there are going to be those willing to do whatever it takes to gain an advantage. I used to believe it was a clean sport with a few rotten apples... I'm now less inclined to think steroid use is a rare exception now. Its actually easier in MMA than other sports because you know exactly when you will be tested.

                        Bingo.

I remember reading a article in Meltzer's newsletter a few months ago, where a quoted source from a major MMA camp said that he estimates 60-70% of the major league fighters are on something.

The source went on to say that there are certain fighters who everyone knows when they are on something, because they fight like worldbeaters, and everyone knows when they are off, because they fight flat.

A few other guys were quoted saying that beating tests is a piece of cake, and for most of the guys who don't use, it isnt because they fear getting caught, it's because they live clean and don't want to use at all.

I'll try to dig it up and post it for you guys, it was a good read.

And don't forget, there is no reliable testing for HGH.

If you listen to fighters who have been in the game forever and guys who are not afraid to speak there mind you will learn, tests are garbage, the sport is dirty, just like every other sport

Dennis Hallman and Jermery Horn say easily over 50 percent of fighters are juiced, I think they even said a higher number, here is a recent Nate Diaz quote also on Chael getting busted

"No opinion. That's not a surprise," Diaz said. "Not that he was on steroids, but all these guys are on steroids, so you can't be surprised when somebody pops up on steroids, you know? You should be surprised when people aren't on steroids."

Even just the fact that positive tests seem to generate no outrage or backlast within the MMA community (fighters and insiders, not fans) is telling. I don't see Sonnen really getting bashed. I don't recall a lot of people speaking out against Barnett. I just don't think the great MMA community cares - if the sport was completely clean and those testing positive were the exceptions, I would have to think that there were be negativety towards those caught...
