Werdum over Fedor is HANDS DOWN sub of the year... not even close.

Watching most of these live, I was amazed by the Werdum sub. On the other hand, I was clinically dead for 32 seconds following the Silva sub. I'm a huge Silva fan, but I went from giving up all hope in life to running around Hooters and giving everyone I could find a high five after that triangle/arm bar.

One could definitely argue both and I am definitely biased. I think that category is a two horse race.

How are we judging the subs? In terms of the significance of the victory, or the technicality/impressive factor?

Fedor pretty much threw himself into the sub, so the sub itself wasn't that impressive aside from the fact that it's Werdum beating Fedor. So it all depends on how you're looking at it.
