I'm really curious to see what happens under Delirious.

So, W2B... Do you feel that the Pearce era was an outright failure, or just disappointing?

DVD business continued to plummet, but that started under Gabe and has been the trend in the entire wrestling business. But Pearce's mindset of not emphasising house shows didnt help. Can you name one "must buy" or legendary show under Pearce? So DVD's were a negative.

House show business went down dramatically, although they did break their all time attendance record with one of the Hammerstein shows. But people stopped going to the regular house shows when they figured out it was now WWE style with no storyline advancement or title changes. So house shows were a major negative.

He was punished by major talent losses (Nigel, Danielson, etc) but also cancelled/downgraded working relationships with NOAH & CHIKARA. Replacing them with his NWA & lucha connections was a failure, because ROH fans saw through bums like Blue Demon Jr and Rachke Brown. Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams, Davairi, DCFC, and others made no impact. He didn't create a single star. He came in with Nigel as champ, and left with Roderick Strong. Enough said.

Booking wise, he waited too long to run with Tyler Black, and fans rejected him. In fact, two of his three champions were babyfaces, yet both were rejected by the audience, although to be fair, it was Cary Silkin who wanted the belt on Jerry Lynn. The most over acts were Davey Richards and Kings Of Wrestling - heels. Nobody liked the "sports entertainment" storylines and finishes. His 70's style booking failed in 2010.

Taped ppv vs. Live ippv was a wash.

Gabe was let go because Silkin felt they needed to create new fans to move forward. Pearce clearly didn't deliver, because id argue ROH has less fans than ever before, and have sold less tickets and dvd's. Pearce failed pretty badly.
