    c) Has yet to prove since said large profile fight, he can pass an an average state's athletic commission's pre-fight drug test

At least have Barnett fight once in Strikeforce before you book him in the main event.

Give me a break, he's defended that title ONE TIME, in how many years? Three? Its a joke. Inexcusable, he should have been stripped a long time ago, especially if he'd rather go kickbox.

And they can have him defend against anyone. His one title defense was against a guy coming off of a loss, so Coker isn't exactly picky. Bigfoot Silva? Mike Kyle? Who cares. Give him a f'n fight.

LOL. You and KOF are still on this shit again? Blame Strikeforce for signing him to a one-fight contract and not bothering to re-sign him, not Overeem.

actually Werdum isnt even fighting for strikeforce in his next fight. said he got some overseas offers, something in abu dahbi. cant knock the dude for wanting to make money, more power to him but im sure SF isnt too down with it.

I am blaming SF. THEY NEVER FUCKING BOOK HIM.

Just take the god damn title from him and put it on someone who will defend it more than once in half a decade. It's stupid.

But with that said, I don't want to hear any of this #1 heavy bullshit until the guy fights some people, no matter who's fault it is.

I'm just throwing names out there. SF has plenty of heavies not named Werdum or Fedor that he could have fought.

They could even go outside the company and sign a name fighter like Sylvia or Jeff Monson. Shit, Gilbert Yvel and Gabe Gonzaga are available now. ANYBODY.

For example, Overeem can take backhanded shots at Brock's mythical rankings all he wants, but Brock has the better resume. Show me the Overeem wins over the caliber of fighter Brock has beaten. They don't exist.

                            Couture/Carwin/Mir > Rogers/a bunch of bums, by a mile.

If Overeem wants to prove himself to be a legit Top 10 in his division, he should stop playing footsie with the kickboxers, step in the cage, and beat some people. The only reason he's considered a Top 10 guy is because heavy is so shallow, it's not ridiculous to leave him out (I wouldnt, he'd barely make mine), HE HASNT BEATEN ANYONE.

                            heh

..now after beating WTB's favorite HW the win over Brock doesn't count. lol. You reached so hard trying to legitimize someone with 5 wins in the sport, but now it doesn't mean anything.. But, at least you're finally admitting that Brock was over-hyped.

Nothing I said in that post isn't still true today, actually. The only guy Overeem beat after that point was Werdum. Brock still has better wins than Overeem, not like that matters anymore, but it's true.

And in case you weren't paying attention, I picked Overeem to win the Brock fight from day one. In fact, I said he would win with minimal effort.

I stopped picking on Overeem long ago, but i'm still not completely sold because Brock basically showed up last night to cash one more check and clearly has had no desire to win in years.

Now that Overeem is fighting regularly, I have far less gripes against him.
