The UFC will be embrassed 2 weekends in a row

Strikeforce TKO'd the TUF Finale in the 1st round, this weekend they went all boxing PPV on 'the fans' with just a main event fight, the K-1 WGP will make this UFC look silly just like SF did last week

When the UFC goes head to head with other orgs/combat sports they usually lose, I'm not talking ratings and fairy tale PPV buys, I'm talking quality and excitement

If only the K-1 GP wasn't happening from 12-5 MST and instead was actually head to head...

The Strikeforce show was good. I also enjoyed the TUF Finale.

        Nobody cares about kickboxing.

I wish I had a corpse that just completed another record setting PPV year.

                12/29 WON:

As it turned out, UFC came significantly short of the 10 million buys figure for the year that had been thrown around a few months ago. But in doing an estimated 8,970,000 buys in 2010 and grossing an estimated $403 million in PPV revenue, broke the all-time records set by the company last year of an estimated 7,755,000 buys and $349 million in North America. If you include the WEC event, the numbers would be 9,145,000 and $411 million.

There is some correlation when it comes to spending money and fighters you want to see/are conditioned to see, Rob.

"Has a big fuckin' Cock on his chest" Lesnar = Buys and Revenue.

"Scrappy-Indie who was last seen eating fists in a dive bar but gets a shot at the champ" Guy =

Yeah, you want to see quality fights and something more than the same fucking fight 5 times a year but you'd have to roll the dice and throw money at every PPV in hopes of seeing such a thing.

UFC, while not the pinnacle of MMA, is recognizable and a 'safe bet' if you want to pitch cash toward a Cage Fight PPV.

You referred to the UFC as a corpse.

I argue that it must be the most lively corpse in history being that they make record money.

If the fights were as bad as you say, people wouldn't want that shit.

Look at WWE, the only recognizable brand in pro wrestling. Their PPV business is down b/c their product has been shit.

I love you talking PPV numbers with no sources, comical

Thats why they had to get the sheik to loan them money and sell part of the UFC off

The brothers bankrupt everything, the UFC will be next, I wonder if Dana will take another picture of his tombstone with the WEC on it, they couldnt even keep that thing running

                              rob you are hysterical....

As far as selling 10% to the Abu Dhabi group...no real surefire answer. If you believe DW (which you don't), it opens up avenues to expand into the Middle East (granted, nothing as come of that...at least publicly to date). If you believe otherwise, the Fertitta's needed cash to put up for their Station Casino's debt.

Either way, the UFC is hardly negatively effected.

                              Couldn't keep WEC running? lmao

Made absolutely no sense to do so. Once UFC hit Versus, WEC became expendable. Why keep WEC as it's own entity doing the ratings it did, making no money....when they can absorb the fighters and get fresh fights, and more fights?

Give me a legit, logical reason why the UFC's business is going to hit a road block and die off...I'll listen.

Are you Vince McMahon? Next thing, you'll be saying how they can't maintain stars because they don't control wins and losses.

                              Oh wait...
