Everyone else is doing lists so I wanted to get in on the fun. This list is not a p4p list, rather a ranking system of fighters throughout all weight classes. All things will be considered in these rankings, including talent level, titles held, record, current status, and even longevity. As the title says.. these rankings are indisputable.

I think Aldo is too high. The exposure of Grispi at 125 I think has to call in to question what we know about the WEC/UFC FW division. He was supposed to challenge Aldo and got owned by a guy no one knew about. I'm fine with Top 10, but I don't think you can have him ahead of Silva/Rua/Fedor/Cain/Edgar.

I suppose my man-boner for Aldo may be too large. I do think that hes as dominant as any fighter in MMA at this moment tho, but it may be that his weight class just isnt up to par. I think its also a case of being very tough to call a distinct #2 at this moment, Silva is the easy answer but its been a solid bunch of fights now that ive been highly unimpressed by the uninspired Silva, and this cant be ignored. If Fedor never losses to Werdum he holds that that spot easily.

Aldo is incredibly high. Dominance of the WEC big names aside, he hasn't been tested enough to be put over guys like Silva, Rua or even Melendez.

I think Jake Shields should crack the Top 10 and at least be above Diaz. He's the second best WW and was at top 5 MW at one point, and he's had a much tougher strength of schedule than Diaz.

BJ Penn might be too high for my tastes simply because of how much of a wildcard he is, but I think 15 is very justifiable considering his talent. Again, it's a personal taste.

I find it odd that Benavidez makes the list, but Dominick Cruz - the man who beat him twice - does not.

I strongly object with Gray Maynard being on the list over Aoki, especially if part of your criteria is longevity, titles held, and record. Say what you will about being a one-trick pony and his embarrassing losses, but there are few current fighters regardless of weight with the same accolades as Aoki.

I agree with CB on Aldo. Its hard, because he has been dominant and looked fantastic. But the depth of the division and quality of opponents has to be a factor, in my opinion.

Its almost like no one quite deserves that #2 spot. Silva's spotty performance makes it possible to discount him somewhat... but he keeps winning. Even after getting dominanted by Sonnen for four rounds, he still won.

Which is a similar though to what I had with Edgar. That first round of the Maynard fight makes me really uncomfortable with seeing him quite that high. Yet I look at the names below him and it doesn't really feel right to drop him, either.

Stuff like that is why I hate trying to do rankings.

EXTREME mistake on my part, I actually meant to have Dominic Cruz there the whole time.

As for Aoki, I just dont rate him as highly as you do friend, infact he was lucky to make my bubble ;). The hideous NYE loss solidified it for me, just no excuse for that shit. He is an elite grappler, no question, and his resume cannot be ignored, but hes still a bubble guy for now.

Take note I dont even like Gray Maynard, but I think he legit beat a top 10 guy in Edgar, not only the first time, but the second time aswell, so for me he deserves a spot, despite my personal dislike.
