I would have Silva and Overeem ahead of Brock.

Brock belongs somewhere in the middle-to-low of any credible top 10, especially if someone is going to have Carwin or Mir ranked. Carwin should definately be ranked, and you can make a case for Mir near the bottom but I wouldnt be offended if he was left off by anybody.

To be fair, he took a bunch of punches from Carwin, survived, and came back to finish.

Of course, because it's Brock, he gets no credit for surviving, and it was all due to Carwin's bad cardio.

Brock is so overated, he's underated. See my response to the first quote. If it was somebody like Big Nog or Werdum who had the exact same fight with Carwin, elitists would be shitting themselves and saying how amazing it was, instead of immediately pointing at Carwin's cardio.

You have sherdog and other places overating Brock, so the elitists feel the need to overcompinsate and discredit him more than he deserves.

During the winning streak, he was an upper tier top 10 fighter, and really, after the Fedor loss there was nobody else to rank ahead of him unless you wanted to make a case for Werdum. After the Cain loss, he belongs near the bottom of the top 10, because you can't put guys like SDR, Cormier, Konrad, Khraitonov, etc (all names that would show up on a top 20) ahead of him yet because none of those guys have signature wins yet.

Does Roy Nelson really belong ahead of him? Brett Rogers, coming off a loss and an ugly win over a jouneyman like Warpath? Oldereem beat a 40 year old kickboxer. Struve hasnt done enough yet.

IDK, if you see 10 names that belong ahead of him, i'd love to see the list. Heavyweight isnt deep, and it definately isnt deep enough to bump a guy after one loss to the new #1 guy.

Do you have JDS above Werdum?
