Looking forward to the race. Hoping my favorite driver, Kasey Kahne, can have a nice bounceback year with Red Bull before he goes to Hendrick.

Bill Elliott, my all-time favorite driver, has been pretty fast in the #09 car so he can have a good race.

Glad to see Junior getting the pole, even though he has to go to the back. He said it best himself in an ESPN interview recently, that he needs to just win a race or two to just get this monkey off his back and race again.

Yeah, I know the whole ending would be cliche if Junior won it Sunday, but I'm rooting for that if Kahne or Elliott can't get to victory lane. I wasn't always the biggest Senior or Junior fan, but I never hated them and NASCAR needs Junior to be competitive again.

Hoping that Mr. Gordon really re-establishes himself this year with a few wins, been a drag watching him lately, can never finish the job.

NASCAR does need Junior to excel, a couple wins to establish his confidence could go a long way.

Didn't watch that much racing last year. But you can be sure tomorrow I'll be rooting for my boy Tony Stewart, the REAL American Badass, to win his first Daytona 500.

Pretty good race all around. Sucks that Kahne fell back and eventually wrecked, but I absolutely love underdog NASCAR stories.

I'm not a big NASCAR fan myself, but really ... is this necessary?
If you don't like NASCAR, just stay out of the thread.
My sister is a big NASCAR fan and I was poking fun at her yesterday for her Super Bowl being at the start of the season, but it's still her Super Bowl.

It's been so long since Jr won (94 races?) that he would almost be a new face in the winners circle. Which sucks for me because Jr is my favorite racer...
