Mousasi vs. Roger Gracie for 4/9 is expected

I doubt all those fights take place at the April show, especially with two title fights at the top.

rumor is that HDNet will be doing the prelims, so they're talking about Aoki headlining the prelims for HDNet because he has been on HDNet a lot, I like that idea and it would show they're trying to do better prelims

Both Aoki and Takaya have been on HDnet for the last couple of years

I like that idea too, throwing the hardcores a bone, because Aoki really means nothing to casuals. He's just the guy who laid on his back and looked scared against Gil.

Hiroyuki Takaya? But Strikeforce doesn't have any featherweights on the roster.

Are the fights going to take place in the Strikeforce cage?

I wonder if the Kawajiri, Aoki and Takaya fights are 1 shot deals or they signed multiple fight deals like Mousasi, Manhoef, Zaromskis did

It appears more Japanese fighters will be appearing on the upcoming Strikeforce show on April 9 currently rumored to take place in San Diego, Calif.

Late Tuesday night, MMAWeekly.com confirmed the addition of both Shinya Aoki and Hiroyuki Takaya to the April card in Strikeforce.
While no bout agreements or even opponents have been named for them, both Aoki and Takaya have been told they will be appearing on the show.

Aoki and Takaya both fought on the year end Dynamite! show in Japan, but with much different results. Takaya defeated Dream champion Bibiano Fernandes, while Aoki was knocked unconscious in a mixed rules fight against Yuichiro Nagashima.
This will be the first fight back for both since the New Year’s Eve show.
The other additional news coming out of Aoki and Takaya being added to the Strikeforce card are rumors of TV deals being worked out to show additional fights both in the U.S. and in Japan.

According to separate sources speaking to MMAWeekly.com, the main fights on the card are currently slated to air on Showtime in the United States, but additional bouts may end up on HDNet as part of a preliminary broadcast.

Also, the fights may be carried in Japan on Sky Perfect TV, although nothing has been confirmed at the moment that a deal is in place.
MMAWeekly.com will have more information on the upcoming April 9 Strikeforce card as it becomes available.

Cool, although it sucks for me since HDNet is basically like the dinosaurs in NY (non-existant).

As I've noted the past few weeks, Coker is brilliant for dipping his toes into Japan, beating UFC to the punch. I believe Japan can be revived, they just need something fresh.

According to Rainbow pants himself, he will be fighting Fancy Pants

                    What a fashion statement!

Masvidal/Noons is also being considered for the April 9th card.

Don't know how I feel about Beerbrohm/Aoki honestly.

Jorge Masvidal and K.J. Noons have been told to be prepared because they may be needed to fill the spots of Kawajiri and Aoki if they're unable to travel and fight.
