Meltzer rips the UFC-centric goofs on his board concerning the GP delay

The concensus on the Meltzer pay site from the board goofs is the same nonsense you are seeing everywhere. Coker is incompetent, SF is blowing it, etc etc. Basically, everyone everywhere is overreating to the GP moving from April 9 to June.

Meltzer had this to say to the UFC-centric goofs who were claiming this sort of thing would never happen with Dana White:

Fights get delayed all the time. Hughes vs. Serra got delayed 17 months. Shit happens. They made a mistake putting Barnett in without him getting cleared and now are paying for the mistake.

UFC made a mistake booking Memphis for a show because it was Jackson's home town thinking he'd turn down a major movie starring role for it. Shit happens.

If a winner gets hurt, they may have to delay it again.

    All part of the game.
This is what i've been trying to tell people this week. It's not a big deal. It;s already March, the fights are in June.

This whole situation is just people who have been waiting to pile on if something goes wrong with the GP. They may end up being right, who knows, but this delay means nothing.

It's no big deal they're delayed but it would have been nice if SF was honest about why.
