Ive always been pleased with the Preds goaltending its kept them in games the last 10 years. Vokoun, Mason, Ellis, Dunham, and now Rinne none of them were high draft picks as far as i knew. Im glad Rinne is getting his due league wide and people are seeing what a talent he is.


Preds have been a defensive minded team for most of the time ive been a fan and its just the type of hockey ive gotten used to watching. I dont pretend to be the most knowledgeable fan in the world, but im trying to broaden my sporting horizons and i cant stand to watch baseball anymore.

Visnovsky and maybe even Yandle were more deserving of the 3rd Norris finalist spot than Chara. East coast bias at work...

Do you guys really think Thomas isn't winning the Vezina?

Well, considering the guy I thought was going to be his biggest competition, Lundvist, isn't even a finalist, I don't see how you could possibly give it to Luongo or Rinne. They both had great seasons as well, but Thomas has them all beat in save %, GAA, and shutouts. I think it would be pretty ridiculous to not give it to him.

nah i think he'll win it, im just saying im happy Pekka is getting some national attention.

So here are the award winners.

Hart went to Corey Perry. I'm fairly sure most had Sedin winning this.

Tim Thomas obviously won the Vezina.

D. Sedin won Art Ross and the Ted Lindsay award for Most outstanding player voted by players.

Lidstrom won the Norris. Was a coin toss beween him and Chara.

Chara though pick up the Messier award for Leadership.

Kesler took home the Selke.

Bylsma won the Jack Adams, rightfully so with the team he had.

Luongo and Scheider took home the William Jennings

Ian Laperriere won Bill Masterton for come back player.

Doug Weight won King Clance for on and off ice leadership.

Lady Byng went to St. Louis. Only 12 penalty minutes all season.

Dustin Brown won NHL Foundatoon Players Award.





And JEFF SKINNER wins the Calder!

Whoever the host was is annoying, I know I've seen him in other stuff but I can't remember what. When he said everyone should give a round of applause to Bettman I laughed my ass off.
