Mans need trash talkers eh? It cant just be about the talent? This is the best one on one match-up we've gotten in some time.. as close to a "super fight" as we've seen in some time.. Shieds is a legit top 10 fighter, a champion from Strikeforce.. GSP is the best in the world, top 2 at worst.. I think this goes beyond just a champion VS top contender match-up. Has it come to the point where the only real super fight for Georges is VS Anderson? If so, fine.. but this, on paper, should be recognized as a super fight.

This isn't just your average #1 contender getting a title fight.

This is the best fighter in the world fighting the one guy who has been able to claim to be the other top welterweight in the world for several years.

Jake Shields first publicly called out GSP in EXC.

The man has beaten Toby Imada, Yushin Okami, Carlos Condit, Mike Pyle, Nick Thompson, Paul Daley, Robbie Lawler, Mayhem Miller, Dan Henderson, Martin Kampmann and others…ALL IN A ROW since 2005.

Shields is perhaps the best grappler in the division and can win quick with his sick submission game.

I am amped for this fight because Shields on paper has the tools to make it a fight. Why? Because we know Shields won't bother standing with him for five rounds. He may try early to test the waters but that bastard is going to pull Shinya Aoki shit to try and get this fight to the ground. If GSP wants to show off and take Shields down, let the games begin.

Super fight, you bet your ass.

How can a fight between the 2 best WW's in the world not be a super fight?

I may be in the minority here, but I have Shields winning, and I'm a huge GSP fan.
