I'm a huge Marty Schottenheimer fan so I'm rooting for him and the Virginia Destroyers. So far it looks like he's having a pretty good draft.

Might go see the Destroyers this season, they play like 45 minutes away, especially if there is no NFL."It's the revenge of the dicks that's nine cocks that cock nines"Comment

No one cares, but I'm more hype about the UFL right now than the NFL. So...
The entire Virginia Destroyers draft thus far: http://www.ufl-football.com/news/destroyers-draft-day
Along with the rest of their team: http://www.ufl-football.com/virginia...value&sort=asc
They are really going for defense. Sucks Brooks Bollinger retired though and now they have no QB and haven't drafted one... yet.Comment

Some of the players are rookies of course. Jerrod Johnson went #1 overall. But there are veterans as well. There is a free agency as well as a draft though so I'm not completely sure how things work. I'm trying to figure it all out.
I only casually watched the UFL the past two seasons. I'm trying to get more into it and for some reason I am excited for this UFL season.Comment

being serious here because i know nothing of the subject, so bear with me.
is this really a 5 team league?
did the UFL just start up/re-start up?
who is in the draft pool? i noticed obviously Jerrod Johnson from this years draft but also Mike Teel out of Rutgers who was drafted in 08 and bounced around teams?
do a lot of unsuccessful players or guys that never get a chance in the NFL go to this league?Comment

It's their 3rd year.
Honestly couldn't tell you. I know each team gave the UFL a list of 40 protected players for the next season. There's a free agency and draft but the draft includes veterans as well as undrafted college rookies. They have nothing on their website either. I'll figure this ish out eventually.
Pretty much yeah. As well as a lot of players that are past their prime. Jeff Garcia and Daunte Culpepper were starting QB's last season. Also Dominic Rhodes might've been the leagues best back last year before signing on with the Colts.Comment

just looked through all the teams rosters. dont know a lot of the guys besides some of the skill position players and the occasional former NFL player like Cato June. if some solid players continue to go to this league, i could definitely get into this.Comment

I think I'm going to try and follow the UFL this year as well, can never go wrong with being able to watch more football. I might follow the Omaha Nighthawks, as they are the closest to me here in KC, but being a Chiefs fan, I'm a fan of good ol Marty.Comment
