The Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard main event scheduled for 5/28 in Las Vegas is out.

It has been reported on MMAfighting.com that Edgar suffered broken ribs while Maynard is out with a knee injury.

I had less than zero interest in Maynard/Edgar. None. Wouldn't watch it if they fought in my backyard.

I like the Hamill/Rampage fight better.

Edgar-Maynard 2 was a solid fight but i still think it should be Edgar-Pettis to unify the belts.

Pettis said they called him up a few days back and asked him if he wanted to fight Maynard. He said yes.

Turns out, his knee is fucked up, so Pettis is back to fighting Guida next month.

havent kept up with this card, is there a reason why rampage is fighting hamill in the first place, was it because of an injury?

Blech. This card just got even more uninteresting. There are some guys who I enjoy and am intrigued by, but this is not even close to must see viewing. Stann/Santiago should be good, I like Struve, Alves can be good. MAybe this will be one of those shows were the sum of the parts adds up to something
