I want more info. If it was an enlarged heart, this is another steroid death.
At what point do we simply stop calling these "steroid" deaths and just chalk it up to deaths from that lifestyle? Narrowing them down to steroid/non-steroid deaths seem to put on the backburner the unhealthy lifestyle these guys live overall, not just the usage of steroids, but pain pills, alcohol, and even the stress that comes with living the business.

I think you are seeing a lot of the newer performers, essentially, the kids in the business realize this...the WWE schedule or being a traveling circus act isn't all its cracked up to be. Seeing lots of guys get out of the business earlier or taking long extended breaks from it, etc.

If it was heart failure due to enlarged heart, then that's a steroid death.

Savage was at an age where it could have been a completely natural "young" death, but connecting the dots isnt difficult or any sort of stretch.

I still disagree with lumping them all together...as an enlarged heart can have many causes..

Its simply the lifestyle overall, not just steroids, although, that is a part of it.

I agree with Larry. Macho Man's death is way more than just steroids. Pain pills, lifestyle, etc... And he was an obsessive-compulsive dude who likely had stress issues. He always worried about Elizabeth ... and Ricky Steamboat said their WM3 match was planned out move for move, something Steamboat wasn't used to - his matches with Flair were ad-lib.
Savage was a high stress dude who took everything he did seriously. I suspect that stress level affected his health.

Hell, my one personal interaction with him was an eye-opener. I wasn't a kid, I was 29 at the time. I was in no way gonna expose reality in our newspaper piece, yet he was mortified by my hanging out and just chatting with his wrestling enemy. He was that anal about his profession (I'm am not criticizing him for it, just an opinion).
