The Closest Vince McMahon Will Come to Calling an MMA Match

    lol

This was Shamrock's debut "match" sometime after Wrestlemania in 1997. That's Vernon White there and they have a "worked MMA exhibition."

Listening to Vince describe the UFC and talk about judo and jiu-jitsu is awesome.

Does anyone consider Brawl-4-All MMA? They did that about 10 years too soon.

The Brawl for All just started on the RAW episodes on 24/7. It's hilarious because the crowd crapped on it immediately (chants of 'BORING' and 'WE WANT WRESTLING' were loud).

Rules were: 5 Pts to the guy who landed the most punches, 5 pts for each takedown and knockdowns were 10 pts. A knockout ended the fight. 3, one minute rounds.

Danny Hodge was the ref for the first two fights and didn't look like he understood the rules.

First fight was Marc Mero (legit golden gloves winner) vs. Steve Blackman (had some kind of martial arts training I think). Naturally, Blackman just kept taking Mero down with double legs for three rounds and won.

The second fight was Bradshaw vs. Henry Godwin (forgot his real name). These guys just slugged it out. Bradshaw wanted the KO but couldn't get it and was pissed, he won though. Ironically, if Godwin could've gotten a couple takedowns in the 3rd, he would've won.

Bart Gunn kept the boxing myth alive when he KO'd Steve Williams. But yeah, Mero got schooled.

Someone should start a Braw4All thread and post all of the fights. It would be fun to look back at some of them.

I was at one of the Brawl 4 All Raws in 98 and I've never seen something so unanimously shit on. Terrible.

And I'd like to see Vince do MMA commentary solely to hear WHATTAMANEUVER about 10 times every fight.
