Yeah, I don't know why more wasn't made of Fergie's questionable lineup. There was no way ManU could compete with Barca in midfield...I think class players like Tevez and Berbatov would have given Barca's patchwork defense some trouble. Anderson and Park are nice players and good backups, but to put them in the lineup at the expense of a Tevez or Berbatov is ridiculous.

I think Scholes was brought on too late, but that probably wouldn't have made a huge difference. It seemed like ManU's offense was being run through Michael Carrick, which was retarded. I think Sylvinho played a fantastic game...the presumed weak spot of Barca just wasn't there for ManU.

Evra actually gave up the ball in a bad position, so ManU's defense had to shift over to compensate for Evra's mistake, leaving Messi open on the far post.

You're a trip, man. ManU made the finals this year, won it last year, yet they are overrated. You've made some golden posts in this thread. Keep it up.

Absolutely agree, Park is one of my favorites, but thats what made Manchester soo good this year. Having quality backups and fantastic depth. (Which is where Anderson, Park, Evans, Fletcher, Nani sometimes)

I was hoping he would have played two bonafied wingers, to attack where they were supposed to be weak. I think he thought about it too much and outsmarted himself. A tradtional 4-4-2 with Giggs and Ronny on the wings would have helped them much more.

I obviously make homer comments because I hate them. Besides that I still think they are overpriced and overrated by the constant good press they receive - as if they can do no wrong and are perfect when they're far from it.

I'll happily keep up good comments about teams I like and shit comments about team I hate - it's what football fans do.

Overpriced - Chelski, Man City, and others have done much more spending lately.

Overrated - Senser handled that one.

Can do no wrong - Yea they can do alot wrong, try Wed night, and Fergie is catching alot of shit for the choices he made.

                        Retard.
He's correct here. Rio should've been a whole lot tighter. That entire sequence is shambolic, Vidic (who had a terrible game overall although was admittedly injured to some extent) should've closed down Xavi which would've closed off the cross entirely.

As a side note, that cross looks better and better every time you watch it.

Well I hope Perez signs a great player for you to watch because right now Real Madrid aren't even the best team in Spain.

...unless you're there to see Toronto FC.

I would say Real Madrid is likely still an upgrade on Real Salt Lake and the other MLS teams.

True, but thanks to first Don Fabio and then Ramos they don't exactly play attacking, free-flowing football anymore. That's why for their sake I'm hoping Perez brings back his "galactico" idea and has a huge signing every season.

Looking back he signed Figo in 2000, Zidane in 2001, Ronaldo in 2002. What a group of players!
