I don't think they will be defending like that all season long because they had some players out due to suspensions/international play like Sergio Ramos and Pepe. Those two guys alone are one of the best defenders out there. So when they come back, it will be a different story. Real Madrid could've easily scored 5 goals yesterday but they just didn't go in and they could've left Deportivo scoreless. It doesn't worry me because they will pick it up and hopefully win all 3 major titles this year. La Liga, Spanish Cup and the Champions League.

PLEASSSSE tell me you didn't just call Sergio Ramos a good defender . Sergio Ramos is the biggest joke of a fullback/center half in european football when it comes to defending . I mean he's great going forward if you like that in your defenders .

Real could NOT have left Depor scoreless , they don't have the defense to shut out anybody in Spain on a consistent basis . Let me look at this defense

Pepe - lol , average at best
Ramos - No comment
Arbeloa - average at best
Metzelder - Big dopey German who gives away countless freekicks . Something you can't do in Spain .
Marcelo - Brazlian fullback who thinks attacking is more important than defending
Garay - Actually a decent signing , not great v the top strikers but can do a nice job or at least showed this at Racing

Real have a bottom 10 defense in Spain , take this from somebody who watches Spanish football religiously . I see you are a "fan" of them , so I know you won't beleive me . You will learn the hard way when the trophy cabinet is empty from this season .

Real are just like they were last season and the season before , impressive going forward but a disaster at the back.

Kaka , Ronaldo , Raul , Higuan (if he plays) .... you think these guys are going to track back? All you have is a back 4 and Diarra . Alsono is not a defensive mid by any means , he is almost like a quarterback of soccer , sits deep and sprays passes outwide to the attackive players .... but when pushed backwards he is average.

You can't get all high and mighty and then forget Albiol. A central pairing of Albiol and Pepe, when they play together, will be very solid. Garay off the bench means they have three good centre halves. The full back positions are weak.

Madrid's defence will be a great offence. If they retain possession they can minimize the chances created against them

You want to take a bet on that? The same Pepe that played for Madrid last season? we watching different guys? And even with great offense you need to work hard off the ball (ala what Barca did) . And the point is that Ramos is terrible (imo) and they couldn't have shut Depor out if they wanted to , if you lose your marker on cross balls people will score .

You better be joking son. They may concede a lot of goals but thats because of the style of football they play. With the players they have they are probably among the top defenses.

I'm done with talking about Spanish football on here if people really think Real have a stacked defense .

Last time I checked , good defenders can at least defend a crossed ball . Something in which Real struggle dearly with . Real's style does them no favors but the "style they play" doesn't make them act like retarded fish out of water everytime a free kick or corner is given away .

And I don't care what Diarra calls hiself to be honest .

Because it sure wasn't Guti, Gago or Sneijder.

They have always been poor defensivly , even though the GD might not always show it they drop stupid points because of goals that should never go in . And they never had to face THIS barca team 2 years ago . This Barca team showed how an attacking team should play imo , with all the freedom in the world while working harder then any team in the world at getting it back . (Chelsea even said this about the W/R) . Barca have never been as unified in the last 7 years as they are with Pep these last season and a bit . I don't think Real with this defense can beat Barca to the title

I see them dropping stupid points here there and everywhere because of W/R and defense .

I'm fine with saying that Real will lose to Barca for the title. I agree with that. I just think it's a giant stretch to say that it's a bottom ten defence.
