There is always something about Villa/Chelski that is just fun. Great game all in all.

Southgate sacked by Boro. Surprising move IMO. Has them joint third in the Championship, albeit not too impressively. Figured this would be a great learning ground for him after being over his head in the Prem. Interested to see who they get to replace him, and the form of the team afterwards

Didn't you just go to DC for the championship? They are already in the playoffs again?

This sacking was about three years in the making. Totally inept.

It's not often I get to quote my sources but I'm being told by a friend of the son of one of the directors that Strachan will be getting the job.

That was the US Open Cup, these playoffs that are about to start are for the league.

Real - shit defence, and not as good as they're made out to be anyway.

It only took 10 extra years and the wrong tournament for the "great" Pelé to be right about an African team winning the world cup. African teams got away with much more than other teams at the last world cup it seemed, in terms of fouling etc. Am I the only one who thought that?

Well there's 2 that disagree. I'll try get to hold of a World Cup dvd, see if I can find some evidence to reinforce my statement.

Thats a tough one, should have been a card if you saw all the angles. But I assume the ref was in the middle of the park, and on some of them it looks like the guy doesn't make any contact with Totti and steps in between his legs.

I'd have cautioned him for going in with his studs like that after the ball had gone, BUT, if I looked hard enough there is probably a clip of an Italian going in studs up and not getting caught.

half time in the Man Utd./Liverpool game and its scoreless. Ref hasn't called anything all game, so I wouldn't be surprised if this game ends up a tie Nil-Nil or 1-1

Game turned out alright. I could've been a lost worse.
