The US needs a forward. Altidore just isn't that good.

        Shea looked really good.

        Torres played a beautiful game.

Castillo sucks. How he stays on the pitch is beyond me.

I like what the US will have up front/in the mid field once they are full strength with guys like Shea, Donovan, Dempsey, Bradley, Altidore, Agudelo, Rogers, etc

Howard is a class keeper IMO but our defenders are terrible.

There must be a reason why no team has hired him, despite the fact he's been whoring himself out for a managing job for the past 6 years.

A Welsh football fan has died after being attacked outside Wembley stadium ahead of the England vs Wales Euro 2012 qualifier.

Police were called to an incident involving a number of men before the match.
The dead man, who was 44, was taken to a central London hospital with head injuries and pronounced dead at 8.50pm.

It is understood the victim may have suffered a heart attack after the assault.

Six men, all believed to be Welsh fans, have been arrested in relation to the incident.

A London Ambulance Service (LAS) spokesman said: "I can confirm that LAS got a call at 7.20pm to reports of an assault outside Wembley Stadium.

"Staff treated a man who had suffered a cardiac arrest. Extensive efforts were made to resuscitate the patient and he was taken to hospital."
Staff on standby at the international match were on the scene within three minutes, the spokesman said.

Police believe they have identified the victim but await formal confirmation that all his next of kin have been informed.

Officers from the Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command are now investigating his death.

That's the third time in my lifetime that someone has died in the stadium when Wales have lost a qualifying game.

Jock Stein collapsed and died just at the end of the game against Scotland in 1985 and I was there in 1994 when a man was shot in the face with a flare gun.

Worst thing about this latest one is that it seems to be the second time that a Wales fan has killed another Wales fan.

Neither the police or the Cardiff fans I've spoken to are pointing the finger at Swans fans at the moment.

This might turn out to have no club connection and it wouldn't surprise me if it just turns out to be idiots fighting.

English Premier League team Newcastle United has launched a line of women's lingerie.

Newcastle United have become the latest football club to launch their very own line of lingerie. The range, in the team's black and white stripes, include briefs, stockings, suspender belts, bras and camisoles.

The NCAA really needs to drop this "unlimited" subs rule it has for soccer. No wonder so many of these guys come into the MLS and can't play 45 minutes.
