Mir won't flop every 10 seconds like Werdum, only thing that saved him

He will get the classic Mir who shows a smug look while getting smashed in the face until he goes out

I'm not saying i'd bet on Mir. I'm saying its a 50/50 fight, and not the fight to make if you are looking to hand him a win.

What did I miss here? Did something happen to imply REEM to UFC is inevitable, or are we just guessing here?

Dana suddenly has had a change of heart and says he's ready and willing to do business with GG again, which kinda sorta makes all this drama just a ploy to bypass Showtime and get Overeem signed into the UFC.

Earlier this week, word spread that Overeem was still under contract to Zuffa, at least for a few months where they have negotiating/matching rights.

Well that was my thought as to their intentions all along, to get him to the UFC as quickly as possible. Seems thats coming to fruition. Id think Mir is the best starter match, a winnable match against an opponent that can sell the match and hopefully is game to stand and try to put on a show.

Overeem would hit Brock in the face, Brock would turtle, and Overeem would have himself an easy win. I really think Brock is the only non jobber on the UFC roster who Overeem could beat with minimal effort.

I think Overeem would beat the Struve's and Nelson's, and would struggle and potentially lose to the Mir's and Kongo's. I think Overeem would be an underdog against people like Cain, JDS, or Carwin.

I think Bigfoot & Barnett would have beaten him, too.

huh? You think Kongo can beat Overeem?

                            Yeah, why not?

Werdum is the only guy Overeem has beaten in many many years that is near Kongo's level. I don't buy the hype, he hardly looked like a top level heavy in hi last fight. No reason Kongo couldn't beat him, that fight could go either way easily.

Hard to look "high level" when your opponent is playing European soccer instead of fighting.

...or when you are losing stand up exchanges with a guy who has virtually no stand up skills.

Werdum fought like a bum, but Overeem was not impressive at all. He had his chances to knock him out and didn't come close to delivering. All we ever get with this guy is knocked out cans or a bevy of excuses. SHOW ME SOMETHING.
