How about KOTR 1993?

You had Bret Hart on display in 3 good-to-awesome matches. The one with Perfect in particular was even better than Summer Slam 1991. Plus, Bret and Bam Bam had a hell of a match in the finals.

Plus it's historical since it was Hogan's swan song on WWF PPV and it kicked off the year long rivalry between Bret and Lawler.

I watched Hogan vs Hansen.

Weird match. Hansen no selling in the beginning was great and Hogan looked like a puppy dog. Its almost as if Hansen figured "fuck you, if I'm jobbing in the country where I make my living, I'm getting my shit in". Hogan doing bad drop toe holds and attempting to chain wrestle was also amusing.

The finish was awkward. Hansen kicked out at the last split second. Crafty vet, see above. Would have been a great match five years earlier when both could go a little better. I liked the double juice.

Going to throw Summerslam 2001, Summerslam 2002, Survivor Series 2002, No Way Out 06 on the debate table.

Also, going to throw in WrestleMania 25 and 26. Both feature top notch Shawn Michaels/Undertaker matches. 26 has a good Cena/Batista match and I think better top to bottom. Thoughts there?

One Night Stand II...a better wrestling show, but lacked the nostalgia of ONSI. But nothing special. Thoughts?

Fully Loaded 2000...Good Rock-Benoit and HHH-Jericho match. Blah undercard. Thoughts?

Badd Blood 1997 on the list too...epic Hell in the Cell, but not much else.

WM X was the event of my childhood. First PPV I ever got, and it was awesome. Two near 5-star matches on one card and even that Savage/Crush garbage was fun as a kid.

Also, this is just another thing that makes me wonder what could have been in a competent WCW. Starrcade 97 could have been legendary. Halloween Havoc 98 could have been fantastic with the cruisers and Sting/Hart (if they had better chemistry) and DDP/Goldberg who had a very good match that no one got to see.

Going to throw WrestleMania 18 on the table for discussion, too. Rock-Hogan is epic if for the crowd alone. Plus some of good to alright matches, but nothing incredible, though. Thoughts there?

I remember nothing from WM18 besides Rock/Hogan and underwhelming matches from HHH/Jericho and Jericho/RVD (I think it was them).

I wouldn't say it deserves a spot.

Let me throw this out there...we have WrestleMania 6 on there for Hogan-Warrior in what I think is a similar PPV. You have the epic superstar match that is good quality for those involved but nothing great, but surely great "sports entertainment" and not much else.

My thinking is...if we have WM6 on there, WM18 probably should...discuss.

IMO, it depends on what it is...

There is nothing particularly good about the KotR when Austin 3:16 was born outside of that promo at the end...but, its on the list because its significant. Same with the Montreal Screwjob...

I think it involves BOTH...completely awesome shows, historically significant shows, shows illustrate pro wrestling at the highest level...whether its with historically significant matches or moments that have complimentary pieces around to make it successful on its own right.

A show like Warrior-Hogan was built around not upstaging these two guys (like what happened at WrestleMania III)...it was built to it, and these two guys delivered.

The Rock-Hogan match wasn't supposed to quite on that Warrior-Hogan level, but it ended up being, and it had better complimentary pieces around it as a show. Is it the top 1%, no...but Top 10%, 25%...can you illustrate the history of pro wrestling without it? shit like that.
