Gotta say this is how I see it, I don't care for Floyd's attitude, but Ortiz should have been ready for retaliation. Ortiz came into the fight calling Floyd a dirty fighter, so either he didn't believe what he was saying, or he had the worlds biggest brain fart in the ring.

Either way I Ortiz didn't have anything for Mayweather, the headbutt was evidence of that as it came when he got frustrated after failing to connect on several shots after he got him into the corner, Mayweather was walking him down (even when people said he couldn't) and was landing when he wanted to and making Ortiz miss a lot.

Hmm I was always under the impression that the ref is supposed to start the fight, not the fighters themselves. Joe Cortez seems to big the ref at all the big fights do they not have anyone else capable of calling a clean fight except for this dictator.

He's supposed to...thats why I blame the ref. Ortiz was wrong in not being alert at all times, you shouldn't expect the ref to defend you. Mayweather was cheap in the shots he threw when Ortiz had just "hugged" him (gay or not) and was back pedaling. Another black eye for boxing.
