In the U.S., many see Badr Hari as the man to relaunch the popularity of boxing, and he’s being seen as a mix of Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

Its a completely valid comparison, in my opinion. He's brash and arrogant, plus he's always a risk to lose his shit in the ring. Now in terms of talent, maybe a touch less valid...

Well the heavyweight division needs new blood for the klitschko brothers, as there is basically nothing out there that poses much of a threat at this point.

he needs to completely change his game for boxing, with his wild style and chin he will get KTFO a lot, even 'bums' have solid defense and straight punches and will shut you off if you make a mistake

I will actually be surprised if he does that well in boxing. I'm sure he will take down a few tomato cans, but beyond that? Its going to be a huge change.

He's a really good kickboxer but not a truly great one.

At least Its Showtime is trying to bring the lulz with the Ali-Tyson comparison...

Hopefully Saki and Spong go to MMA which seems like a lock now

Why doesn't Hari just learn grappling and go into MMA?

                        he doesnt like the 'cuddling'

Some guys just hate to grapple or cant learn it, plus they are banking on a huge payday against the champs, build him up against a couple bums, use his kickboxing name, etc...and cash in for the 1 big fight, he can always go back to kickboxing or try MMA if all else fails

The HW division is the easiest to get to a big name fight, the other weights would eat you alive, at least there is a chance at HW, but I see this ending badly for Hari

Exactly if you got a name you can get a fight in the HW division, I mean how long before kimbo slice gets on tv?
