You're facing squads who have paid less for their entire squad than you have for one fucking player. You have enough quality players to put out two competitive squads. Deal with it. Do what you're paid to do - manage. You've got one world class forward who is frozen out of the squad and another top-class forward out on loan because he can't get matches, despite clearly being able to score at the top level but who you can't sell because he's on retardedly-high wages. But certainly, we should empathize with the situation that Mancini finds himself in....
Read a blog recently that pointed out how stupid it is that clubs and fans will proclaim "European fixture hangover" when clubs under-perform in the league - such as this weekend - then want so desperately to stay in the European competition.
Not even clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Milan, or Man United have the kind of squad depth that City has. If anyone in the world should be excluded from bitching about have too many matches in too short of a period of time, its Mancini.Comment

The counter attack goal City scored today was masterful. So enjoyable to watch. Plus it was against faggy Arsenal, so it made it 10x better. Great win.Comment

Great win? Really? Your goal-scorer cost more than the entire squad that Arsenal put on the pitch. Arsenal played a bunch of kids and had two or maybe three regular first teamers on the pitch. The two midfielders have something like 5 career Prem matches between them. A bunch of the City players were "fringe" players who started regularly for them in recent seasons and some of whom are 15m plus benchwarmers. That was a match that City could have and perhaps should have dominated. Yet they didn't. It took a counterattack goal to take it on the one good chance City created through the entire match. If that's a "great" win, you City fans have some pretty low standards...

Yeah that should have been a red for Luiz but I'll take it. Speaking of Luiz, he really doesn't seem to be much of a central defender but I don't know where else on the field he can go.
Great game though, that was the kind of game that we needed to hopefully get out of this rut.
