SAF went on record saying to leave it the way it is as well. I just dont undersatnd what this fool really thinks this will accomplish, when LFC are down the list of more powerful clubs. Still insanely popular yes , but not in a position to doing/asking things like this.

I can't see how this would improve things at all. The big clubs already have the significant advantage of regular European football and those financial rewards. Plus way more money than mid-Prem clubs in terms of marketing, sponsorship, etc. So now you want to take away the one thing that keeps things the least bit equal across the Prem? Considering you already have clubs racking up massive debt because they overspend their incomes to keep the league comepetitive, which is one the major reasons its seen as the best league in the world. Turn it into La Liga and that goes away.

Curious if any of the Reds-heads are gonna try to defend this. Heels?
They're looking out for the club, not the league. I don't want them to change it though.

Reminds me of BYU declaring themselves to be "independent", when BYU hasn't been football-relevant since the days of Ty Detmer.
