    Unofficial Fantasy Hockey Advice Thread

Okay, in lieu of needing advice for my fantasy hockey team, and the fact that I didn't see a thread for it, I figured I'd make one finally. Yes there are the league threads, but nothing for advice.

Anyway, I'm currently in a 10 team head-to-head league (in which I'm kicking ass at 16-5-1 in the first two weeks), but my Defensemen aren't quite performing to my exacting standards.

The stat categories for the offensive side of things are Goals, Assists, +/-, Power Play Points, Shots on Goal and Hits. The rosters are 2 of each position (including defensemen), one Utility and 4 bench players.

Right now I want to pick up Sami Salo as he's been off to an incredible start, but I'm not sure I love the idea of dropping one of my others. Here's what I've got currently:

    Shea Weber
    Ryan Suter
    Duncan Keith

None are off to the start Salo is, but I still worry all three have the potential to come on strong, and they'll all be scooped up quickly if I let them go.

    Thoughts?

Old Sami Salo is a glass man who didn't even managed 40 points in his prime. The other three are prime age superstars. That said it might be worthwhile to ride Salo's hot streak and see where it goes because he might end up having double digit goals in him but if you do that, do it at the expense of a garbage forward and not one of those three defencemen.

I want to drop Bieksa but I don't know who I should pick up in his place. Here are a few names in free agency

      John Carlson
      Ryan McDonagh
      Victor Hedman
      Kent Huskins

      Any worth picking up?

Headman plays decent minutes but doesn't score a lot, came with Carlson. Huskins has some points, but doesn't play the minutes. McDonagh plays a solid 23 minutes a game. Of those four I would probably say him.

As for Ralknor, I'd stick with what you have. If anything, use one of them as sick trade bait for a forward. You have two predators, so I'd say Weber or Suter.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

            "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

Do I give up on Penner already? 9 shots in 7 games and moved down to the third line.
Martin Hanzal, Dave Bolland, and Mike Cammalleri are guys I'm looking at who could replace him

I'd give up on him on the third line. Cammy is your best bet, but plays for a iffy team.
