    MITB predictions….

    - Cena pins Henry

    - Logic says Ziggler wins because he's gotten so much shit shoved downhill on him, he can't possibly lose another big match, right? Maybe, they draw out the feud through Summerslam so Del Rio could win. Ziggler has been getting the better of him through most of the build, so look for Del Rio to win.

    - Plan all along has apparently been for Bryan and Cena to main event next month, and nothing we've seen really suggests otherwise. I'd say, just to offer a different option, Orton could definitely be in play. The guy has been waiting to turn forever it seems and has put over Bryan and Punk clean in the middle of the ring in recent weeks. While we've seen enough Orton/Cena stuff to last a lifetime, it hasn't been done in years so heel Orton would be something different.

I guess, if the Wyatt Family are going to appear at all on the PPV, they'd interfere in that match with Kane, take him out of it.

    - The only feel I have for the Smackdown MITB match is it seems Cody Rhodes could be turning face for the first time since his initial debut all those years ago. Not sure if it's something that would happen right off the bat but something along the lines of he wins this match and over the ensuing weeks, Sandow ends up jealous and attacks him (the usual). Nobody else in the match makes much sense since Fandango, Swagger, Cesaro and Barrett have sort of just been lurking for a long time. They won't put Ambrose in this position just yet, either. Theoretically, they could have Cesaro win it and shoot him to the moon with Uncle Zeb talking, but that would be something of an upset IMO.

    - IC title, who gives a fuck. Miz sucks so hopefully Axel gets a clean win.

    - Diva's belt, AJ is awesome in her role but logical progression says Kaitlyn wins (perhaps to transition it to the Bellas).

    - Ryback will beat Jericho. He's looked terrible in the build to this while Jericho has looked like teflon. Ryback will reveal Vickie as his new manager and he'll pin Y2J.

    - Shield over the Uso's

The Miz is simply not a good guy. I don't think he sucks, but he absolutely sucks as a good guy ... same way as Alberto Del Rio. Some good guys can pull off being a heel, very few, if any, heels can do the opposite.

          Cliffs:

-Fuck Chikara, it's over. They screwed over workers in the process & are cock teasing us. Fuck 'em until they choose to win us back.
-Michael Elgin is the new indie ace. Interesting. I may agree.
-June was a turning point month for indie wrestling.
          -ROH should rocket pack ACH.

EDIT - if nothing else, El-oh-El at the shitty promotions links.

This made me think about PWG.

They really stay in their lane. They just churn great out shows, don't try to outgrow themselves, and if you happen to live outside Reseda California and want to buy DVD's and shit, great. If not, great.

They will outlive them all. "ROH West" was smarter than ROH after all, which will be dead when somebody important at Sinclair asks what the "R-O-H" is next to the red ink on the P&L.

I have no emotional connection to CHIKARA. The whole story with them is a little weird though and if I was emotionally invested, I'd be a little miffed too...not quite like that guy, but I guess I understand where he is coming from.

Michael Elgin hasn't reached "Ace" status yet, but he's very good. But, to be fair, kind of like Davey Richards in a way, he's polarizing in his style. If you are into his style, you would probably lean toward Ace. There are plenty of weirdos that don't like that style and think he's shit, too. I happen to like him, and I'd hesitate to call him an Ace right now, but I think on the Indies, he's in the top tier at the moment. FWIW, I don't think there is anyone worthy of "Ace" status yet on the American Indie scene...maybe Gargano.

ACH, without question, needs the rocket pack. He's got IT factor and he can work a helluva match. He's something new in ROH and ROH has lacked that flair for a while.

                PWG is fantastic.

"They really stay in their lane" is right on the money...it works for them...they understand their territory/market, they have a firm hardcore fan base, and they make sure they deliver...whatever it means to deliver to their fanbase.

They don't try and grow, they don't sell out, they just keep doing what they are doing. Has PWG really changed in years? I'm not a hardcore, but I watch a ton of their shit, and its the same kind of shit for years...but thats a good thing. They always have a few Show of the Year contenders...they always have Match of the Year Contenders...they have a ton of top workers working there...just a great promotion.

Elgin is the best Indy guy right now. I cannot be convinced otherwise.

I'd give it to Gargano, personally.

                      He's up there for sure.

Davey is still great unless you're a DVDVR weirdo, and I believe as good as ACH is, he's twice as good live. Then there's Steen. Odd that Gargano only gets pushed by Gabe (other than his home promotion in Ohio).

Ricochet might be the most talented, but I consider him a full time major leaguer who happens to fuck around on the indies between Dragon Gate tours, so I don't know.

Kinda addressed it in my last post, but he's a mid card guy everywhere (Chikara, PWG, etc) except with Gabe. Doesn't even get booked in the bigger Midwest places. Maybe out of loyalty to PRIME? I don't know, I doubt it. I'd like to see him work at a high level in more places. Elgin works everywhere, always at or near the top.

Maybe Gargano has a real job that takes up some of his time, and Elgin is a full timer. I don't have those answers.

Gargano is a full timer trust me. I have no idea why he isn't in more places either. PWG just started booking him, so they are probably going to build him up to their fans more first.

BTW, I love how but hurt people are getting at the Husky Harris Chant during the attack on Kane. I see it as Tensai said it, that he is glad they remember him and takes it as a compliment. Also was a little shocked at the arena exploding like that when the Wyatt family came out.

He just started in PWG, I do believe. I hadn't seen him on anything before All-Star Weekend this year. FIST was pushed a year or so ago in CHIKARA, IIRC.

For reference...Elgin is now working tags in PWG...he did get a push in the last quarter of last year before getting into tags. So, we'll see.

And, I gotta say, Elgin works near the top...but Gargano is THE top guy for a top Indie fed, so, that counts for something. Elgin will get his top guy run for ROH quite soon.

Also, you mentioned Steen...if you asked six months ago, I'd say yes. But, he seems to be coming down.

And, just to open things up...

Legit Indie Ace(s)...The Young Bucks. Thoughts?

ROH will be in town not very impressed by the card.
