Regarding Edwards & Richards, as best we can tell, there were no issues at all. They are scheduled to be back again for the next tapings but were not offered a contract. Ryan Ward, who writes NXT and has seen them in ROH, is pushing HHH to sign them and it appeared from those there that they got a good reaction from Billy Gunn and Bill DeMott. They are in a weird situation because WWE allowed them to finish their commitments to ROH on 12/14, but does not want them working anymore dates there. But they don’t have a contract here, so they are taking a financial risk. Richards on his own pulled out of the NOAH tour.
It seems like Trips is the only one not hot on them, and obviously he's the only voice who matters. Long term I think they are doomed no matter what, because he will want to be right and will take the first chance to let everybody know.Comment

To be fair, H's is probably not hot on them for reasons other than their ability. They are short guys and one carries a pretty terrible rep on the Indie scene. We always hear those stories about how much he hates guys that are just stubborn in their ways...surely, its true. Is there anyone on the Indies more stubborn in their ways then Davey?Comment

I've mentioned the new lucha promotion DTU to you guys a few times, as it's my favorite lucha promotion these days. It's what you get when you mix lucha with Dragon Gate & old school ECW. It's a bunch of young guys doing flippy do's in warehouses with no psychology and completely random out of context shit like flaming tables & barbed wire for no apparent reason. And I love it.
This is where hot rookies Flamita & Rocky Lobo who are now Dragon Gate semi regulars came from.
Here is episode 10 that just hit the net, with Draztik Boy/Flamita vs Davey Richards/Eddie Edwards vs Daga/Eterno, plus another cool matchup with one of my favorites Joe Lider.
Lots of promos early in the show from Davey & Eddie. It's too bad Davey can't have Eddie's attitude, or Eddie can't have Davey's personality (Davey isn't exactly The Rock, but next to Eddie he comes off like a charisma machine). Eddie is like a plank of wood in the personality department.Comment

That main event three way tag with the Lider/Crazy Boy team vs the two indie teams is something else.
Tornado DDT off the top rope onto a pile of light tubes? Yeah, not the finish. Lulz.Comment

Reviewing The Masked Man's book: http://www.voicesofwrestling.com/201...stling-review/
Quick recap: It's basically for the most basic of fans, JimLeavy will love it. It pretty much exclusively focuses on Attitude Era and Rock N Wrestling WWF with little mention given to wrestling existing anywhere else in the world. Half of it is dead wrestler bios lifted directly from his Deadspin columns. If you read those, you've essentially read half this book.Comment

Unfortunately no reference to Ryback
He should've died, that would've guaranteed him a chapter alongside Crush.Comment

So is/was John Cena a wigger in real life, or was he just goofing off on that tour bus on that fateful day when Stephanie noticed his rapping, and from that point was just doing a gimmick?
His character has slowly drifted away from being a wigger over the years, but it still comes through sometimes in his promos, especially when he's angry.
What do you think? Do you think he's the kind of guy who was throwing around WORD LIFE for real in his every day life, or was this just a character?Comment
