Williams was almost never used on TV or PPV and was the veteran hand in developmental.

Silva was accidentally hired when Ric Flair thought Gut Check was a shoot and gave him a yes vote based on a spirited promo when he was supposed to vote no. At least they gave him a chance. He was in developmental over in OVW this whole time, and made a few main show appearances lately in the taped PPV's & Gut Check winner tournament.
Williams and Sorenson were reassigned, Williams to OVW permanently as a trainer and Sorenson took a backstage role. I imagine that we still see them every once in awhile when they need someone, but interesting that they made four cuts off the main roster.

They would have otherwise cut Sorensen, but you can't fire a guy that was damn near permanently disabled on your show...you just gotta move that piece around and continue to give him a paycheck.

Where are you seeing this? Meltzer reported that Williams was cut. He even noted that Williams was upset because he was looking forward to working with (help train) Rampage Jackson.

Droz was with WWE for years, he might still be.

After his injury, they already had him involved in the production of the show, so I guess this was just making it his permanent gig.

My bad, outdated information, I went off what I knew before I left for work tonight. Who else do they have in OVW? Seems like Williams is just the kind of guy you want in development.

He was the only veteran to my knowledge. Just about all of the Gut Check winners are there (aside from Christian York), Rob Terry, Crimson, Gunner, people like that. Plus, just like the WWE days of using OVW, OVW has their own crew of non contracted guys.

Here is Williams' twitter, he's talking about taking bookings, etc, so he must be officially gone: https://twitter.com/DougWilliamsUK

You still want someone that is a vet like Williams though. Maybe they have someone in mind in a couple months, but Williams was perfect for that.

I think he is. I think he works under a pen name under Joey Styles for the website and shit like that. He's long been collecting a check, that is truth.

According to F4WOnline.com, in light of the NBA Playoffs continuing to dominate WWE in the ratings on Monday nights, Vince McMahon's new idea to combat the NBA is to get ahold of the playoff schedule ahead of time, so WWE can book Raw in hot crowd cities like New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and others.
Why not just make the show better?

King Mo is at OVW when he's not training for a fight (which he's been doing for about the past month or two).

Warner keeps saying it, so I finally wrote about it.

Is Dean Ambrose the Wrestler of the Year?

Is Dean Ambrose the Wrestler of the Year?
Voices of Wrestling podcast co-host Joe Lanza brought this point up during our interview with Inspire Pro Wrestling’s Biss and has been actively campaigning for Ambrose to receive the honor.

At first glance, it seems ludicrous. Ambrose is just a stable mate with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as a part of The Shield. He’s just an upper midcarder who hasn’t even reached main event level status and may not until the end of the year. Lastly, for god’s sake, he’s only the United States Champion. We all know what the level of that title is currently.

However, when you weigh the criteria and the impressive year Ambrose has had, the choice doesn’t seem so ridiculous. In fact, Ambrose is a legitimate contender for Wrestler of the Year. Joe may be on to something.

I think the big thing for Ambrose was getting the Undertaker seal of approval after WrestleMania. The Shield had that six man against Undertaker/Kane/Bryan on RAW, and Undertaker was so impressed that he wanted a singles match on Smackdown to put them over again. He picked Ambrose. If you remember at that point, the three were just about equal. Ever since, Ambrose has clearly been viewed as the alpha dog, as Fed mentions.

The best match on every WWE TV show almost always involves The Shield. They are the hottest thing going in company. I think WOTY will come down to Okada, Tanahashi, Cena, Bryan, & Ambrose, because I think Bryan & Ambrose have their best still in front of them. Punk had time off and wont be featured. Bully Ray doesn't have good matches. Gargano works in front of 80 people. Who else?

The Shield has been great. Every match is good, every segment is good. They have straddled the line between featured and over saturated very well.
