BTW, in looking over the WON awards on wiki.....looks like this year will be the first in a few that Danielson does not win Most Outstanding Wrestler or Best Technical Wrestler.

Most Outstanding from 2006-09 (4x...more consecutive times than Benoit, Angle, Liger, Flair and Kobashi...although obviously the landscape has changed dramatically since those days)
Best Technical from 2005-09 (5x...more consecutive times than anyone else)

Addendum to Jeff Fucking Hardy: Hey, asswipe, you made CM Punk? Who the hell was it that showed up on Raw and showed the WWE that a little guy can be a credible main-eventer in the first place? If anything, Punk gave you your title shot, you little weasel.

Certainly having 3-minute matches on RAW each week is infuriating, especially when it's guys like Danielson, Morrison, Miz, Kidd, etc. who can work 30 minutes if they were called upon to. 3 minutes does absolutely nothing for anyone except piss off viewers b/c nothing of note can happen in a 3 minute wrestling match.


I will say, we've had plenty of interesting/great things happen in the past 10 years besides Cena getting beaten down by a gang.

The Invasion (at least in the beginning, in theory...was interesting)

The Radicalz showing up on RAW (....and HHH killing them off)

The Benoit/Eddie lead up to the titles in 2004 were great

Brock/Angle was awesome

The Smackdown Six were fucking awesome

Shawn's return and the realization that the man was probably a better all-round wrestler than he was when he left.

Shawn/Taker was balls to the wall AWESOME.

Week 1 of Nexus was unbelievably awesome...then it ended days later.

The return of Hogan to WWE in 2002 was fun......Hogan/Rock was great

Taker's continued evolution was fun

heel John Cena was fun

Batista/HHH in 2005 was great

Ric Flair's retirement from WWE was great

Chris Jericho's transformation from Y2J into heel Jericho was awesome

The first One Night Stand was FUCKING AWESOME (even if Eddie/Benoit was a letdown)

The Jericho/Michaels feud (all incarnations of it) was brilliant

Shelton Benjamin's one shining moment, the RAW match with Michaels was sweet

The development of the Miz has been cool

It was hyperbole. 10 years, exaggeration... my point is that the Nexus angle is nothing new or special, but people feel like it is because it's actually getting attention. It is the best thing the WWE has done in a while, but that's mostly because 90% of what the WWE does is shit.

I used to get mad. Now I just don't pay much attention.

I record RAW and skim it. I never, ever watch one second of TNA. I don't even know what time/channel Smackdown is even on anymore. Shit, I many weeks behind on ROH at this point.

I'm perfectly fine picking and choosing what I check out on the internet from Japan, and occassionally watching/skimming RAW, AAA, and ROH. Banging your head against the wall waiting for this shit to get better is pointless.

Nash apparently doesnt want to see new faces pushed, even in companies he doesnt work for.

He's a big reason wrestling is where it is, helping kill WCW and holding down young guys. He himself was an outsider (no pun intended), a bouncer who WCW wrestlers recruited when he was well past 30. Miz has earned his spot, he was outcasted, booted from the lockerroom, made fun of endlessly, and is a legit top guy now.
