This was one of the worst RAWs I've ever seen...and I was flicking back and forth with one of the worst National Title Games ever.

The worst part of that Clay re-debut was not the horrendous gimmick that got over like a fart in a church...it was that they squashed the great CURT HAWKINS, who is tearing up the C-shows with his Pillman knockoff routine.

Interesting that they chose the Windham version of the Horsemen.

You knew they weren't inviting Ole or giving him a live mic, but they could have gone with Luger.

Those were really the three most prominent versions. Sid wasn't in long enough, Sting was just an angle to set up a Flair heel turn (although backdooring Sting into the HOF would have been interesting), Paul Roma lol, and nobody really counts the Nitro era versions.

The Horsemen with Flair, Ole, Arn, Tully, and JJ is the Horsemen I most recognize as "THE HORSEMEN".

When I think of the Horsemen, I think of feuds with Dusty and Magnum TA. Breaking Dusty's ankle and hand. Magnum TA v. Tully Blanchard, Babydoll, the Original War Games matches against the Road Warriors, Dusty, and Nikita, Jimmy Jam dressing as Precious and attacking Flair before their date (IIRC, Luger was an "associate" of the Horsemen at that time or just started becoming a member).

that's my Horsemen. Right around there.

I have no issues with the Luger or Windham versions...heck, there were good aspects about the Luger version and the Windham version...but I think of the Horsemen, this is who I think of...

Sting being a Horseman was just a program. Paul Roma was trash and a joke even to Flair and Arn. I appreciate what they did by letting Malenko and Benoit into the Horsemen...that's what you should do as old guys, bring the young guys into the mix. If Malenko had charisma, he'd be Tully. If Benoit could talk, he'd be Ole. I see what they were going with there.

Agree all the way around, Larry. The foursome with Ole is the most iconic to me. The original and "most accurate". I liked Windham and Luger added another dimension. But you just can't top that original group or the feuds they had.
