The direction towards kids is the direction Vince McMahon goes anytime he has no real competition. It is a safe zone with consistent numbers and high merch sales and base hit advertising sales. Back during the cartoon character era of the early-90's is another example of this. But, characters then were much more cartoony. Today, they are more or less just bland. I'd rather watch a Mountie v. KoKo B. Ware match than a Heath Slater v. Ryback match...I mean, at the end, I know I'm getting a stun gun to KoKo B. Ware and Frankie is gonna fly around. That brings the lulz.

I checked it out. They did a personality profile of Brodus Clay, and then had a Kofi Kingston vs Heath Slater match which was worked totally "G" with no punching, no blows to the head, and no chokes/neck maneuvers. Kid friendly action.

Also, for some reason, a bunch of stuff in the crowd was digitized out (signs, tshirts). Anything remotely offensive I guess.

That's a real test for these guys to work this way, I will record this and check it out every week.

That just sounds terrible. Though I wonder if Linda loses the senate race yet again, how that will impact this "kid friendly" direction they are taking things.

Linda ain't winning anything...she, as an individual, and the company she is/was apart of, has too many holes for the opposing party to poke through and ultimately create, and the GenPop will eat it up, despite the often corny points the opposing party makes.

I think Cena/Rock is a legitimate MOTY contender, but I think i'm the only one who thinks that.

It won't make my Top 5 by the end of the year after I catch up on stuff, but I really liked it.

I have a ton of NJPW stuff to watch from the beginning of the year, so I haven't seen a lot, but right now my top 3 matches of the year:

Richards vs. Elgin (ROH)
Taker vs. HHH (WWE)
Brock vs. Cena (WWE)

I want to check out the Okada stuff, Naito's stuff with Okada & Tanahashi, some Ibushi and Devitt matches, too.
