        They did.

Punk was still in "New Nexus" mode after he left for Smackdown.

He took on Orton and ultimately lost.

It was so forgettable (largely because Orton squashed Nexus harder than Cena did) that they've left it off the CM Punk DVD that's out now.

Everything Orton has ever done has been forgettable.

I've never seen such a big star do nothing special, ever.

Give me three keynote, big time Randy Orton moments. Go.

          hmm

          Ok, give me one.

I was gonna say the hardcore match with Foley was pretty fucking good. Even a blind squirrel gotta get atleast one nut in his life.

HHH turning on Orton was/is his biggest moment.

Everything else, besides the Foley feud, just molds together into one memory.

                      Wasn't that Shawn, too?

I'd like to thank them for that because Kennedy sucked balls then and nothing's changed since.

Remember that one defining moment in his career when Vince found him sexually attractive for 11 years?

I remember him DDTing Stephanie and making out with her while she was "unconscious", which I thought was ground-breaking, to bring his backstage sexual harassment to his character sexually harassing someone. Jim Cornette once said the best wrestling character are just themselves with the harassment turned up.....

Oh, you mean from his matches? God no, I turn those things off whenever I get the chance.

Orton's crazy mind is probably better known than any of his on camera crap. I remember him getting suspended once for smoking weed in the back...in an interview later on, he blamed some unnamed person for stooging him to the bosses.

Another interview, Orton said while he didn't shit in a diva's gym bag, he did pour a bunch of lotions and random crap into one diva's expensive purse to which he was fined. His explanation:

She had no respect for the business. She'd say, "I'm here to help your show, it's not doing too good." She would call people by the wrong name and rub us the wrong way. I took it upon myself to mess with her my own way.

Haven't been too impressed with Orton in the ring. Probably didn't help that when I first started watching WWE again, the first exposure to Orton was his PPV with Kane, which was beyond drizzling shits.

Come to think of it, even Kane can get carried to a great match by someone like Danielson. For the guys more in the know, has Orton ever been carried like that, or has he even dragged down a superior wrestler?

Orton is the epitome of a guy who wrestles to the level of his opponent. He can have great matches with great wrestlers, and he has terrible matches with guys who are terrible.

To my knowledge, Orton has never had a match outside the WWE system. He is basically Vince's vision of a create-a-wrestler. He is, along with Triple H, exhibit A of the WWE style. Orton is the template.

I suspect he would be completely lost in any other environment. What would he do if he grabbed a chin lock 14 minutes in and everybody booed?
