Orton has never had a match outside of the WWE bubble.

After he went AWOL on the marines and was discharged, Cowboy Bob took him backstage at a WWE event, they signed him a day later and he was sent to OVW.

It is funny...tons of respected guys in the back herald Orton and say he is such a ridiculous talent and a natural...Heyman says it, among others...I ain't really never seen all this natural ability come to light. I believe Heyman or someone compared him Barry Windham in how he was just such a natural, born-to-be-a-wrestler. Unfortunately, I ain't ever see Windham in him ever. Windham could legitimately carry and had a streak in the late 80's and early 90's where he was a boss.

Only one feud have I see Orton in where I legitimately saw some legit in-ring talent in him...the Christian feud.

More NXT thoughts, as I am just about caught up...

You can definitely tell the last episode of a day's taping...the crowd is fucking dead lol. You notice the same crowd...and by the fouth or fifth episode, the crowd is dead and don't give a fuck. BUT, the first episode, the crowd is actually hot.

And Hero now looks like the Uni-bomber.

btw - it needs to be stated...Damien Sandow is fucking awesome. He should have mic time every week. His ring-work is great, too. Matches his persona.

He could be a legit heel for the WWE, especially since he can actually be a heel within the restrictions WWE has set themselves in with the PG rating and get good reactions. It's a solid gimmick that he's pulling off especially well.

Doesn't Barrett do a short armed elbow? Please tell me he's not doing the Misawa rolling elbow...

If so, I legit feel bad for Hero because they will make him change up all his shit when he gets called up, even though he's been doing those elbows for years in honor of Misawa...

Anyway, everybody seems to be doing short armed moves ever since this guy hit it big this year...

They really should of let him keep his name Chris Hero. But whatever the WWE wants its own "twist" with their talent and they wonder why nobody besides the top guys are over.

They really really do give talents then worst fucking names to choose from.

Imagine Bryan Danielson coming to the ring as Buddy Peacock or Lloyd Bonaire. LOL.

Dolph Ziggler for Christ's sake...funny enough, he's talented enough to make you forget the dumbass name.

The names they have for the NXT guys are LOLworthy, especially the second generation guys...

He took on Orton and ultimately lost.

It was so forgettable (largely because Orton squashed Nexus harder than Cena did) that they've left it off the CM Punk DVD that's out now.
ugh, that Mania Match was ruined bc 0rton still has NO IDEA how to sell

The names the WWE gives wrestlers now are the worst abominations I've ever seen.

Did anybody see Daniel Bryan vs Tyson Kidd on Saturday Morning Slam?

Because they can't do high impact or violent moves on that show, supposedly they tore it up with chain wrestling and old euro style grappling. I have it on the DVR, will check it out later, just wondering if anybody else saw it.

No and I'm upset that I miss the matches because of work.

TV matches are all about impact and slams for the most part.

Unless you can dig up the millions of Kofi/Ziggler bouts or the odd Regal match, you aren't going to see chain wrestling unless it's on PPV or on some cable access at 2 in the morning.

As would be expected, WWE creative is having a hard time coming up with a finish for the Ryback vs. CM Punk match at Hell In a Cell.

They don't want to have Ryback lose but also do not want to switch the WWE Title before the Royal Rumble in January. They also don't want to end the pay-per-view with a screwjob and obviously can't do a DQ finish inside the Cell. Officials also do not want to end the show with Big Show vs. Sheamus so it appears they are going to end up having to do something that they do not want to do.

There has been a lot of online speculation about Brock Lesnar interfering to cost Ryback the match with the idea of Ryback vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania 29. This would create a number of issues including messing up plans for Triple H's revenge on Lesnar and the extra cost of using Lesnar on another pay-per-view above what he is contracted for.

I see Lords of Pain nearly went word for word this time, impressive in their lack of fuck giving lately:

Creative is in the expected quandary over the Punk vs. Ryback finish.

Besides the obvious, that it’s a Hell in a Cell so they can’t do a DQ finish, don’t want to beat Ryback, don’t want to change the title before Royal Rumble, they also don’t want to end the show with a screwjob. They also don’t want to end the show with Sheamus vs. Show. Anyway, one or more things that they don’t want to do they are going to be forced to do.

One idea fans are bouncing around is Lesnar interference which would lead to Ryback losing, and then going to Lesnar vs. Ryback at Mania. There are a lot of aspects to that. First, that would mean HHH wouldn’t get his revenge. Second, Lesnar is still actually drawing significant and would that be the case if he loses to Ryback? Also, there is the expense of Lesnar on another PPV above what he is contracted for. It’s not like these are things that can’t be overcome, but not only does it screw up HHH’s program, but there is a very significant economic expense to consider.
