There he is against Carlito, who is a decent worker. I don't understand what they see in this guy. BEAR HUGS & CHINLOCKS. OK, I get it, it's in front of 25 people in a VFW hall, im not asking for topes and suicide dives, but still. When combined with his generic look, I just don't see the appeal.

If they wanted a fat white guy with a beard, Kevin Steen blows this guy out of the water in the ring and in the charisma department.
It's pretty telling when he's shorter than Carlito. I don't understand it at all either, outside of as Empire said, warm bodies. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

As noted before, the May 6th WWE RAW did a 2.89 rating with 3.92 million viewers. This is the worst rating for RAW so far this year. RAW was third for the night on cable TV, behind the NBA playoffs on TNT. The following details are courtesy of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

In the segment breakdown, the show started with a 3.29 quarter rating for the Ryback and John Cena segment. Damien Sandow vs. Randy Orton lost a whopping 725,000 viewers, including 19% of all Males 18-49. Chris Jericho’s promo gained 124,000 viewers. R-Truth vs. Fandango lost 146,000 viewers for a 2.74 quarter rating. Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler at 9pm gained 228,000 viewers for a 2.91 quarter rating.

The Shield vs. The Usos and Kofi Kingston lost 206,000 viewers. Zack Ryder vs. Antonio Cesaro gained 26,000 viewers. The highlight of the show was Brock Lesnar’s visit to WWE HQ and then the segment with Triple H and Paul Heyman. That segment gained a big 899,000 viewers in the 10pm timeslot, boosting the rating to a 3.44. Male Teens grew 35% and Males 18-49 grew 38% during that segment.

Kaitlyn, Cameron and Naomi vs. AJ Lee and The Bella Twins lost another big number – 921,000 viewers. During that match, 17% among Male Teens and 21% in Males 18-49 tuned out. The confrontation with Sheamus and Mark Henry plus Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett gained 146,000 viewers. Kane vs. Ryback in the main event plus the post-match angle with Daniel Bryan, John Cena and The Shield gained 163,000 viewers for a 2.99 overrun – very weak for the main event.

          New Japan "Wrestling Dontaku" review..

It wasn't going to last forever. New Japan's historic run of amazing shows came to an end with last week's 'Wrestling Dontaku', the yearly big show offering from Fukuoka.

Been watching these TNA "One Night Only" evergreen PPV's. Not bad if you want to watch a three hour self contained show that tells a little story. Tons of guys that TNA has under contract but never uses, like SAM SHAW and ALEX SILVA get work here. Plus they bring back a lot of former TNA talent.

This X-Division show isnt bad. Where else can you see Tony Nese & Rashad Cameron vs Doug Williams & Kid Kash? So random.

I've never gotten around to seeing these TNA One Night Only PPVs...TNA just straight up does not promote them.

Literally they don't even mention them. Makes you wonder why they even bothered. I think the first one didn't even merit a single mention on television.

Fulfilling contract commitments to international and cable/sat PPV partners. They promised 12 PPV's a year, and when they switched to four live PPV's, they had to fill the other eight months with something. So they taped these eight shows in the span of three days, cost them almost nothing, so they don't really care what they get back in return. They exist to avoid being sued.

I wonder if the contract said it had to be new/original content. I'd imagine yes given their general apathy, otherwise it would've made way more sense to cut up some "Best Of" type deals. It makes sense though considering Tenay was very clearly bored and annoyed on the broadcast and even went as far as admitting he "hit a wall 40 minutes ago"

This X-Division show is the best TNA show i've seen all year, and I haven't even gotten to the Joe/Aries main event which is supposedly great and maybe the best match in TNA so far in 2013.

Also, can't wait for the TNA World Cup PPV where iirc the teams are USA, Canada, Aces & Eights, and TEAM MISCELLANEOUS. lol.

Cant even have a UK team? You have Magnus, Rob Terry, Doug Williams, Rockstar Spud, and The Blossoms on the roster

I wonder what TNA's Map looks like to have an Aces + 8's team...I mean...where is Aces + 8's land?

I think there was a bunch of visa issues or something. So they panicked, looked around the locker room, and threw a bunch of teams together with what they had.

The best part, is the gimmick was each team has a singles, tag, and knockout. Obviously A&8 has no women. So I guess Ivilesse Valez of all people was hanging around that day, so they gave her a leather vest and she repped her "nation".
