The Summerslam stuff was suppose to be tongue in cheek were all big ECW marks. so it was more along those lines.

IMO, slamming the WWE is just stupid and makes you guys look desperate. Celebrate what you are - a solid independent.
You are not a competitor for the WWE. And the people who attend your events don't care if you are. Celebrate what makes you who you are, not what you're not.

Jeez Dave, maybe its "tacky" to a 40 something canadian shut in, but to a 20 something texan, its probably what he wants to hear. i worked for a bunch of indies, some bigger, some smaller, but you always want to push your product to make it seem huge. Im pretty sure none of the fans that his piece reached are upset that he tapped WWE a little bit. For an indie its "cool" to talk shit about them. BTW good shit Biss, tell my boy Mike Dell the Broncos suck.

Don't know if anyone bothered to watch TNA Hard Justice last night... or even look at the results... But TNA kept the world title in Angle in a rather screwy finish. Pretty weak. If he is some amount of legal trouble over this weekend, it could be an epically stupid choice. Considering they had multiple options available, this one could be a very bad decision.

Indies making fun of the WWE is A-OK, because Indy promotions strive for the counter culture audience that doesn't want to watch the WWE.

I can't recall a good Indy promotion that doesn't take a pot shot at the E every once in a while.

Nothing wrong with profanity or taking shots at the E, if that's what's over with the audience and that's what they paid to see. From what i've seen, ACW isn't a "family" indy using babyface Doink on top, it's an audience that skews young and male and more than likely no one in that crowd is offended by a few f bombs. And like others have said, taking shots at the E is perfectly acceptable when playing to a counter culture crowd that came to see something the polar opposite of what they hate on Monday nights.

As for the bold, please stop. biss & lickem know a shit load more than you about what works and dosent work in wrestling, no matter how old you were when they were born, because they've lived it and seen it.

We actual did use Doink at one point, funny story.

Dave if he could tap into the old Portland territory might have something. But flights and old timers being old timers would probly tear his budget apart befor it started.

Still its illustrates the give and take, what might get our core base going is going to push more casual fans away.

I've taken the patented "whoopie cushion" on top of several family oriented indy shows. im sure there isnt a ton of guys out there that can say on a friday night i was splashed in the eyes with a squirting flower from doink, then on saturday night had a barbed wire bat match against balls mahoney. :gold:
