Machida has the best striker in mma to work with in anderson. I really don't think bones will want to stand with machida for too long. Machida sees what bones does everyday.... Accept better

None of that stopped Shogun from blasting him.

Very true, bones and shogun have completely different styles though. Shogun is an aggressive straight forward guy, bones is more flashy, and not as straight forward. I by no means think machida is just going to go out and smash bones, but bones is not going to ko machida like shogun did. I see bones going more the rampage route and having him against the cage and have machida on his back. Jones has ridiculous takedowns from the clinch and that is what will be the difference.

What I meant from my statement at the top was just silva/bones style is more alike and silva can emulate it better than he could shoguns style.

Ps if I groaned you LR, I didn't mean too. I am on my phone.
Mo knows wrestling, he just isnt a double leg guy, he studies MMA, grappling, bjj and K1

He isnt as long as Jones, but he does have a 78" reach which is great for a LHW, Bones is at 84" which you can only get at HW, but Mo will be a great help IMO

Anyway, Bones is a 2 year striker and it shows, besides some flashy stuff, the only thing he has over these guys are reach, it will be figured out, Machida is a tactical striker, Jones hasnt faced anyone like that, plus Machida is faster, Bones is not a fast striker and lacks technique, plus power

Another thing about Machida, he is very solid on the ground if it gets there, plus with machida, he still hits fats and hard every round, he isnt a slow down guy, this is great match up IMO

I think Bones will get a hold of Machida, take him down, and wear him out. While we don't see Machida on his back that often, but if Jones can get him there, then the fight is easily his. Machida's submissions will be nullified by Jones and his long limbs. It will be hard for Machida to get a hold of the exact spot he needs and Jones is much stronger than Machida.

I can see Machida having success on the feet due to his ability to strike from the outside though.

Lmao, yep Machida's striking is so good, he got worked by Shogun twice. Jones is a better striker, and more of an overall threat than Shogun, and Machida stands no chance in this fight. He doesn't even have that KO power of a Shogun, or Rampage to make it interesting.

You make it sound like getting worked by shogun is something he should be exiled for lol

He got BEAT once by shogun (imo), and worked once. Just to clarify your statement. Styles make fights, Rampage had no chance at beating Bones, Machida has a better chance than Rampage ever did.

I wasn't using MMATH you retards. I'm telling you Machida isn't a better striker than Shogun, and Jones is a better striker than all 3. Machida has no way to win this fight. None, not even a puncher's chance.

Weird, I must have hallucinated when Jones made Shogun tap to strikes... and oustruck Rampage..

BRB, never touched either fight, but not as good of a striker.

LOL. So because you have a ridiculous reach that automatically makes you a better technical striker?

Jones isn't a terrible striker, but he's obviously new to striking. He's effective because he knows how to use his length very well.

First it's not all reach... but let's say it is.

He did not get touched by shogun, and unless he had arm reduction surgery he still will have that reach when he fights Machida.

Brb, outstriking somebody, but not being a better striker. I see this section is still full of derpism.
