First Two Months Of Brock's WWE Booking Plans

I really, really wish I could take credit for this, but this is from another board.

I mean, this is perfect. Just perfect.

Week 1: Lesnar appears. Crowd reacts well - just well - although WWE cameras find a sign or two and some guy who is crazy happy about it. Internet reaction is huge.

Week 2: WWE, overfocusing on the idea that Lesnar is a washout, feels the need to address this sentiment on TV so they don't look out of touch. Miz calls Lesnar a loser. Michael Cole agrees, but not to a crazy degree or anything. He just points out that there's sense in the idea. Lesnar doesn't appear on the show.

Week 3 or 4: Lesnar appears. Crowd is more receptive. Cuts a promo talking about Miz. Part of the crowd WHATs him within minutes, because his promo sucks. He's just an angry wrestler talking about beating someone up. Miz confronts him. In the ring - not from the stage or via satellite. He gets in some more legit insults, making sure not to badmouth the UFC. Lesnar F5s him to retaliate. Before the show this was framed to him by producers as The Miz getting comeuppance for running his mouth and building to their match but in reality he was just legit called a loser for five minutes and retaliated with a planned, cooperative wrestling move.

Week 5: No Lesnar. Miz has more heat than five weeks ago. Lesnar Sucks sentiment becomes more noticeable. It's not the first time it's been apparent but it's noticable enough that Bryan (Alvarez) and Dave (Meltzer) finally see it and Dave spends 10 minutes consoling himself on WOR about how this is going to suck.

Week 6: The Raw GM announces Miz v Lesnar for the next PPV in the middle of a backstage segment involving Vickie Guerrero, The Bellas and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. The main takeaway from this segment is that Vickie is angry about something Hacksaw said.

Week 7: A video on Lesnar's WWE career is shown on Raw. Miz cuts a promo in his serious voice and then goes on to defeat Evan Bourne.

Week 8: Lesnar appears. First, to show his range, he engages in backstage tomfoolery with internet favourite, Zack Ryder. He doesn't Woo Woo Woo with Ryder, but he's polite to the US champion before walking off camera. The camera lingers on Ryder while he delivers some sort of punchline after which Cole calls him an idiot. Lesnar comes to the ring. He doesn't say much besides calling out The Miz. Miz comes out with some dudes, like security or training partners or something like that. Just bodies for Lesnar to throw around a little. He does so, and Miz does his Jeremy Borash face from the stage in fear.

PPV: Brock beats Miz. *** Match is best remembered for how vociferous Michael Cole is that Brock's a loser.

At this point Brock is just another guy and everyone's on to the next golden carrot that's going to save wrestling.

Come on. You know week 1, they'll have Brock wearing Goldust's wig.

That whole plan gives them way too much credit.
