The Blue Jackets are bad because their GM is the type of the guy who is still trying to get in touch with Derek Boogard's agent.

    Sidenote: RIP Boogeyman.

Carter broke his foot when blocking a shot and then just seperated his shoulder by taking a hit.

Could be worse though. Dustin Penner just injured his back when he was eating pancakes lol.
No I got it the first time. I was making light of the argument that fighting helps prevent injuries because it provides a deterrent for those who want to take cheap shots at the goal scorers. My sarcastic comment was that fighting was a deterrent powerful enough to prevent "unlucky" type injuries as well, as if fighting has some magical powers beyond what happens on the ice. I guess it's not funny if I have to explain it.

And then KG said something dumb so I had to drudge up another sarcastic comment just so he couldn't one up me.

I thought you just missed it because you never follow hockey and you're one of those fuds who doesn't post in any of the other hockey threads, yet will put his 2 cents in when it comes to fightig.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

        "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

Couple things that have came up over the last week or so.

Fighting is down 25% from last year.
Goal Scoring is down from last year and is at a 3 year low.
Concussions and what the NHL has called "player safety issues" are up by a lot.

          Leafs offseason training!

Wait a minute, so fighting and goal scoring may be connected, and concussions may not be?

Not like any of the actual hockey guys were saying that all along.

Please tell me that I am just reading this wrong, and you are not trying to insinuate that fighting and concussions are unrelated.

Fighting may be good for hockey teams, but it's not good for the human brain. Indisputable fact is indisputable.

I was watching the Jets/Sens game last night.

Evander Kane took a run at Erik Karlsson, didn't get a call cause the refs missed it.

The Sens were furious about it, the fans were too.

Offensive draw in the Sens zone next time Kane is on the ice, who's on the ice for the Sens? Chris Neil. He skates at Kane and checks the shit out outta him and starts a fight, giving him and the Jets notice that you cannot take cheap shots at Sens players.

Problem solved, like men. Fuck this other bullshit the media wants. This is what the league and the players want, it's how it has been and how it should be.
