Also, Erik Karlsson has more points than most of the forwards on that list lol. And I would say his defensive play is not lacking like you'd expect from a hobbit.

Overall though it's not bad, but I think some of those names have been obscurely pulled out of the hat to make the list look more intellectual.

Currently 43rd in the NHL defencemen point race with 3 goals and 14 assists, -3. Compared to last season, since we are right around the halfway mark of the NHL season he needs to score 11 goals in his last 40 games to reach last years total, and he has a horrible 2.8 shooting %.

As I said, he doesn't belong on the list. He is no where near the league in which guys like Letgang and Vlasic are in, and as Wr50l pointed out, Karlsson not on this list is kind of odd, but Kalrsson is 2 points off passing his points totals last season and he is only halfway done. PK at this point is going to be lucky to reach back to last years.
