...it was pretty good and well worth a watch if you're even remotely interested in the early years of MMA/NHB.
~ Rickson was definitely ahead of his time. I really liked his mindset to fighting.
~ Todd Hays knew he didn't want a piece of Rickson, "hurt" shoulder or not. He wasn't really in it to be a fighter, but I can't help but wonder how he would have turned out if he stuck to fighting. He had a pretty good skillset. His coach was ridiculous.
~ I had no idea that Sgt. Craig Pittman did MMA.
~ Gerard Gordeau was such a piece of shit.
~ Yuki Nakai was the most impressive bit to come out of the entire story. Absolute legend. A shame they didn't pick him to follow around.
~ It's was a bit funny to see the Gracies' discuss Nakai's butterfly guard.
~ The Kimura guy was a huge disappointment. They had him built up as this stud.
Now I'm off to watch The Smashing Machine.
