The backstory, is Zuffa was supporting SOPA, so these guys hacked the UFC website on Sunday.
Dana went all Dana, ranted and cursed them, and essentially challenged them to keep attacking UFC. He then said he does not fear the internet. They obviously didn't like his shit talking and you can see the results.Comment

Is SOPA the perfect bill? No, it's not.
The only thing that we're focused on is piracy. Piracy is stealing. You walk into a store and you steal a (freaking) gold watch, it's the same as stealing a pay-per-view.
I don't care what your twisted, demented idea of stealing is. These kids that grew upon the Internet have never had to pay for anything, so they think you shouldn't have to.

These guys are computer geniuses and have the ability to hurt you more than you could ever hurt them.

First of all, Dana referring to the hackers as "THE INTERNET" is so friggin hilarious. "I'M NOT AFRAID OF THE INTERNET" or whatever he said.
Secondly, the idea that the SOPA bill was dead and buried and NOW is going to come back and pass with no objections because the UFC website was hacked is jonesy worthy.

Dana is so tone deaf on this issue. SOPA is dead because of the massive response of young people, who realize the internet is their life blood. At the end of the day people pirate (not steal, a physical good isn't being taken) UFC events because they are FANS. Watching the fights online legally is still $45. You know what would drive piracy down (it will never go away)? Dropping that price to $10 or $15. Give people a reasonable LEGAL option to pirating your product and many will pay for it.
As Gabe Newell and countless others have said, it's a service problem. FIX IT if you want to beat piracyComment
