Silva will not play tomorrow against Dortmund, and is unlikely to play in the Derby this weekend. Going to need Nasri, and perhaps Scott Sinclair to step up[not sure if Mancini will play him]

Fergie and Mancini on the other's penalties LINK

"The number of penalty kicks they get, 21 in the last year or something like that," said Ferguson.

"If we got that number of penalty kicks there'd be an inquiry in the House of Commons. There'd be a protest."

Mancini, though, pointed out that United have been awarded the same number of penalties in exactly the same time period. The Italian believes the comments were simply created by Ferguson to add to tensions ahead of the derby.

"I think four or five times in the last 10 games [last season] and then [Ferguson] didn't say anything, but this can happen.

"Fergie is clever for this. I think in the last 15 years there have been some penalties for them. Not a lot, but two or three in the last 15 years," he joked.

Mancini also responded to Ferguson's criticism by suggesting Ashley Young won penalties for United with dives against QPR and Aston Villa in consecutive games last season.

"I remember very well last year. When Young was swimming in the ... " he said, gesturing like a swimmer diving into the water.

City wants safe standing areas in Eithad LINK

Manchester City have outlined their backing for the trial of safe standing at the Etihad Stadium.

                  ...

And City have said they would support the movement, if it gets the backing of the Football Association - with the FSF pushing the introduction of fold-up rail seats.
13 English clubs support safe standing areas LINK2

Thirteen English league clubs are in favour of reintroducing standing areas into football grounds according to the Football Supporters' Federation (FSF).

                  ...

The FSF wants the FA and the Premier League to adopt fold-up rail seats, widespread in Germany, saying technology had moved on since the Taylor Report signalled a move to all-seater stadiums in the wake of the Hillsborough disaster.

The families of the 96 victims who died at Sheffield Wednesday's ground in 1989 are vehemently opposed to the move and the Premier League also voiced their disapproval but the FSF wants them to reconsider.

Great to see City back safe standing. Heard the head people trying to make it happen on a Chelsea fan podcast a while back and it sounds pretty great for all parties. Plus when I finally make it to Stamford Bridge (or whatever Chelsea's home ground is) in my lifetime, I'd want to be able to stand with all of my fellow fans.

                      Mancini 3 year anniversary LINK

Winning mentality: Roberto Mancini has won 70 of his 114 Premier League games in charge of the Blues (61.40%).

Isolated incident: City have only lost back to back Premier League games once under Mancini, which were against Arsenal and Wolves back in October 2010.

                      ...

Small margins: The last time City were beaten by more than a single goal under Mancini was in April 2011 (a 3-0 loss away to Liverpool at Anfield).

                      ...

Lucky charm: Of players to have played over 50 games for City under Mancini in the Premier League, Joleon Lescott has the highest win percentage of 71.21% (P66, W47, D10, L9).

                      ...

Demolition jobs: Roberto's biggest win is 6-1, occurring 3 times, all away from home v Burnley, Manchester United and Norwich City.
was at that 3-0 loss against Liverpool. does that mean i'm bad luck given we lost that match or good luck because we haven't lost by more than 1 goal since?

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli appears to have been involved in a training ground bust-up with manager Roberto Mancini.
