    Gameweek 25 EPL Discussion

Since we don't have a random thoughts thread anymore, I'll try and create weekly discussion threads for the weeks premier league matches. We can do the same for the Champions league once the next stage of play starts.

These are in EST. [Home team listed first]

    Saturday Feb. 11th

    7:45AM
Manchester United v Liverpool [on ESPN2]

    10:00AM
    Blackburn v Queens Park
    Bolton v Wigan Athletic
    Everton v Chelsea
    Fulham v Stoke City
    Sunderland v Arsenal

    12:30PM
    Tottenham v Newcastle

    Sunday Feb. 12th

    8:30AM
    Wolverhampton v West Brom

    11:00AM
    Aston Villa v Manchester City

Saturday is a pretty big day. Obviously the early game, but Everton/Chelsea, Sunderland/Arsenal and Tottenham/Newcastle should make for some intriguing matches for teams battling for the Champions League. Villa/City has all the makeups of an awful match.

I wish we could get about ten more soccer fans around here, we could have a decent section set up.

Nice work, Rudi. Was gonna make a generic EPL discussion thread but this works nicely.

I like the idea a weekly thread. Gives you a few days to look over the games and build anticipation for matchday.

Glad ya'll like the idea. I'll try to post these a few days before the gameweeks start all the time, that way we can discuss the matches before hand, during and the results. It is a shame we have very few soccer fans on this board though. I may try and recruit some brothern from blue moon rising, not sure if it'll work though.

As far as this week matchups go, Man U/Pool should be a good match - and it's on ESPN which is a plus. Spurs/Newcastle should be a doozy of a match as well too.

Wolves have dismissed manager Mick McCarthy after Sunday's 5-1 defeat at the hands of West Brom left the club in the relegation zone.

Steve Bruce and Alan Curbishley are the early favourites to replace McCarthy, who had won just one of his last 13 matches as manager.
