But whoever that person is, they are going to have to deal with the shit-pile of self-serving opinions that seem to make a mess of everything in that company. And that seems to trip up anyone.

Nothing really changes with TNA, no matter who is "in charge". I've heard a few good things about TNA of late so I've checked out a bit of Impact lately. Sure, you've got good stuff like Aries and Bully Ray. But you also have typical retread shit like five segments in one episode on the same storyline, which lead to a big reveal... and Hogan being the reveal surprises absolutely no one, since he had already been advertised as returning on that Impact. Fucking retarded. Its not Abyss running around with a ring of power or Knockouts becoming zombies, but its still bad television writing.

My preference would be for TNA to actually adhere to that false advertising tagline and actually "make wrestling matter". Simplify, streamline, and focus on the wrestling. I won't claim that would make any difference in the ratings. But they've tried emulating the WWE without any real growth except in foreign markets for about the last 3 years. At some point, something needs to change.

And fuck Bischoff for pushing his kid at us.
That's just it. They don't need ground-breaking new ideas. They just need simple, actually thought-out ideas. That's why D'Amore and to a lesser extent Cornette was good for them. Cornette would have been better, but he was in a more limited role (part of the creative team vs. D'Amore being head booker for a time, I believe). They just do things that make no goddamn sense like turning Beer Money 1,000x times in 12 months, pushing face AJ Styles to the top only to turn him and make him a cheap Flair ripoff, give Abyss a monster face push for god knows what reason, having Pope come in and be the hottest thing they'd seen in years and then have him get injured and return to middling garbage. It seems like they're run by a kid with severe ADHD. It's no wonder nobody can get over when they can't push someone for more than 2 months without getting bored with them and giving up or turning them for no other reason than they don't have any real idea what to do with them.

They'll turn Hardy 5 times, Roode 10 times, Morgan 10 times, Angle 15 times. And what does WWE do? Punk or Danielson or Orton or Miz or Cena have probably been turned 5 times combined in the past 5 years? They know their crowd is made up of morons (or more accurately, kids 5-15). They book to that. Nothing overly complicated. It works. TNA assumes their audience is smart, so they end up booking like morons to try and surprise them. Hulk Hogan is a good guy! Oh, but wait, we turned him, now he's a bad guy. No wait, he's a good guy. We had you going, didn't we? Glad that's all over with.....SWERVE HEEL TURN!
